This bar sounds great and adds the extra depth you want. The Bluetooth connectivity is seem less and sounds clear.

I needed a cheap sound bar to go with a secondary tv - we have 7.2 surround in our playroom and I had zero expectation or desire to reproduce that in our living room. I asked the Best Buy person for "the cheapest sound bar you have" knowing that it would get minimal use and was really just there to give better sound than the LED TV's 10w speaker while watching the news. This fits the bill great. The sound quality is astoundingly average, the bass is powerful enough to impress even the most astute audiophilic spider, and the clarity is as clear as Carribbean water after a hurricane. So... if you need a basic, cheap sound bar for minimal use, this is a great option. If you want a great sound bar, why are you reading reviews for a $50 speaker?

Overall I am pleased with the purchase. Was looking for an inexpensive sound bar to compensate for the poor sound from my TV in den. Didn't want to spend a lot because it is not the main TV but wanted better sound when we do use it. Price was lower than most and sound is good. TV sounds muffled and cannot always make out what is being said, sound bar is clear so I am happy.

If you are looking for a cheaper way to get great sound without having to buy surround sound, this sound bar is the way to go! I have surround sound in my living room, but I paid almost $1,000 for it. I wanted to get better sound in my kids living room and my "man cave" without having to spend so much money. This sound bar proved to be well worth the money. The sound is much better than the tv sound, but not as good as surround sound. I am very happy with this product. Plus, it has blue tooth capability. I play my iTunes from my iPhone just by choosing the sound bar in my cell phone's blue tooth menu. I truly am very happy with this sound bar. Great product!

This product is seriously great for the price. I wanted a surround sound feel for a cheap price and this was perfect. I would recommend buying a digital optical cord with this product if you're using a relatively new TV.

The sound quality is excellent for one of the more inexpensive models, and the Bluetooth feature is great!!

It was easy to setup and the sound that comes out of it is great.

This sound bar has a separate remote which is a little cumbersome. There is no way we can sync this to our satellite TV remote. The sound quality is good. Better than the speaker system that came with the TV.

Easy to set up and use. I chose not to buy with a subwoofer, but this is plenty loud and clear. Only drawback is that the remote is compatible with the TV sound circuit, so when I increase or decrease the volume it does so in larger increments than sometimes desired.

First off, this was not the Black Friday special I originally had in mind. My neighbor and I had eyes set on a Samsung that we'd crossed in a target ad. After waiting in line we discovered that their stock never showed up. Just lucky Best Buy happened to be next door to target so we decided to catch the next best thing. Long story short, the next best thing turned out to be the best thing. I can't even turn on the tv without this add-on.

Having over a decade of experience setting up and installing home theatre systems I am embarrassed to admit i had never even considered using a Soundbar previous to this purchase. Only ever truly had faith in 3 to 7 channel set-ups, not anymore. The only TV in the household without any external audio set ups was a LG-55LN5400 with bottom mounted tinny sounding (but acceptable) internal speakers-- so i figured I'de give the soundbar a try on this unit. Simply connected via a Toslink audio cable directly to the TV's output (no receivers or external amps) and the immediate results blew me away... literally, volume was too high by accident... but still exerted surprising clarity with great mids and bass levels for even News Television. This is no simple feat for the room this Soundbar is used in either-- 28'x30' (840 Sq.Ft.) with 22' high skylight ceiling. The sound carried just as well as any Budget-minded 3 channel systems I've experienced in recent memory. Few tips however: 1- try to avoid using standard RCA audio (Red+White) cables, doesnt produce nearly the same quality sound and has audio delay with screen (mouth/speech) visuals. Can be corrected via TV settings, but never as accurately as just using a FiberOptic Toslink Cable. 2- Position Soundbar at least 2.5 to 3 feet from floor for optimal audio range projection at perspective seating height. 3- Most remote codes by Insignia and Cable providers are not correct for this newer Insignia model-- After testing on 3 generations of Comcast remotes (Yes, X1 Voice Remote as well) the correct code for this model is "10463". Bottomline, is it the best Soundbar... No. But it is a far above average budget Soundbar so long as its source is connected via Toslink Audio. The bluetooth works great as well for streaming music to it from your phones, iPads and Laptops. Has a few preset EQ's for preference and a Bass Boost if the user prefers but almost always find it unnecessary. Enjoy.

I was looking for a basic sound bar for the bedroom and this fits the bill. A big plus is its bluetooth function allowing me to stream music as well. Would have been a "great" rating if I were able to independently control treble/bass as with my living room sound bar.

I got this for my dad,because his 3d tv internal speakers made a horrible sound. The sound of the soundbar is a lot better than the tv speakers but not as good as other soundbars. For the price is not that bad

This is not a spectacular sound bar, but the price was right for the job we needed it to do, improve the sound of the TV. Volume is sufficient for TV, but this is not a knock-out sound bar. I would only recommend if improving TV sound was the goal. The price is good.

Bought this bar for my elderly mother who has a hard time hearing her flatscreen tv because the speakers are located on the sides and the sound is directed away from her while viewing. Now she loves it and doesn't have to blast the sound out to maximum to hear. Great value for the price.

I'm not very technology in tune but this was easy to hook up and start playing. The sound quality is good and it's definitely loud enough for party's if you need it. Only thing I didn't like is i had to buy an optical cable for my TV to play through it. I have a Samsung
