I was looking for an AM/FM to stay in touch during power outages with news, weather, etc. I found this slim and nice looking radio that has an excellent sound.

WORKS WELL IN A VERY GOOD TOWN / VALLEY IF YOU HAVE A GOOD ENOUGH TOWER NEAR WHERE YOU LIVE....SAY LIKE, IN A BLOCK OR IF YOU LIVE NEAR A RADIO TOWER, YOU CAN PICK UP HD STATIONS, BUT IF YOU'RE WAY OUT IN THE BOONIES/ STICKS.... GOOD LUCK TRYING TO PICK UP ANYTHING!!! HAHAAHAHAHAH OTHERWISE.... NOT A VERY GOOD SIGNAL!!!

Compact, sleek style. Well made. Excellent reception. Buttons on top are very small.

Got this radio for use with hurricane Irma coming. Kept us informed about the storm by allowing us to pick up local stations during the night without power. Great size for use at the beach, etc.

This is the second Insignia HD radio we have purchased. This one being newer seems to have a better sound. It plays only FM stations which is what we want anyway. The price is good too.

I wanted a small radio for my kitchen and this fit the bill completely! Great sound and doesn't take up any room. I highly recommend it!

HD FM Radio band works well with good sound from this little unit. It is a great size for a kitchen or small work area or shop. It would be nice if it had AM & NOAA weather bands for emergency use. It would also be nice if the backlight could be turn off or reduced in brightness. The display can be somewhat annoying in lowlight conditions as well it might save on Battery life.

Excellent choice for me due to it being small and light.

This was purchased to use at one of our two local drive-ins last summer. The first suggestion I would make is to make sure you are putting the batteries in correctly if this is not turning on. The speakers are ok considering the size. Much more suited towards using inside than outside.

Excellent sound with great HD selection! Hard to find a unit that does this but well worth the money! I would recommend this item to anyone!

Nice little table top or portable. HD is neat and it has great reception. This is actually the second one I've purchased, it makes for a nice gift.

There is one station I listen to, that is hard to get on most radios, and it comes in just fine on this one. The radio is small in size but big in quality

Bought it to hook up an MP3 player. Speakers sound very good.

I purchased this same unit about two years ago and it worked fine but one day just failed to turn on. Unfortunately, there is not other option for an HD radio available at Best Buy, so I had to just purchase it again. Hopefully it will last longer this time.

I love this radio i have spent three years looking for a radio for my elderly roommate. We get a good number of station clear very little static. I would highly recomend this radio to anyone looking for a good portable radio.

Everything about this is great but the volume options are "ticked" so that it clicks from one setting to the next and adjusting the volume to just where you want it doesn't work very well. Not a good use for an office setting with cubicles where you have to be mindful of co-workers.
