Radio works fine. Can run on batteries. The only disappointment was a lack of a USB port for charging phones, iPads, etc. The description indicated that it had a port.

My only complaint would be that it doesn't automatically go to the #1 preset when she turns the radio back on - and at her age an additional button to have to press is one button too many.

It has an provision for an external antenna, and this makes it more reliable for use in my car. The AC adapter provides 5V DC, and I hope to experiment with using a usb power supply to avoid using batteries.

Had it for 5 months with light use. After the second battery change and it wouldn't turn on. Tried with other new batteries - still nothing. I tested the batteries and they're fine. Dead radio. I purchased it online. I'm hoping I can take it to the store and swap it out for a new one, but I no longer have the original packaging.

Sound quality is good, and the headphone out allows use as add-on tuner for use with amplified speakers or a home stereo system.
