Little tiny controls, black on black, nearly invisible. Presets have a default of #1. To change stations you must start at 1 each time. You want to go from 5 to10 it will go back to 1 and you must advance presets from 1 9 times to get to 10. Assigning presets is a nightmare.

Just what I wanted. Love oldies music and was tired of searching for FM stations that played the kind of songs I remember from my youth.

I was surprised works better at picking up semi weaker fm signals. Hd radio did ok to but I am around 40 miles from the radio towers had to hook up to an outside antenna to get better hd reception.

We bought this table to FM/HD radio for a gift to my husband but he returned it since he wanted a small and portable. Return service was excellent.

I returned the radio as I couldn't get reception my bathroom which is why I bought it.

The radio’s RF sensitivity is adequate as is its audio output. The preset, memory system is crude and almost nonfunctional. This is not an expensive radio, but that doesn’t justify the poor design of the preset system.

I am very unhappy with this radio. The instructions are difficult and despite several efforts I can not save my favorite stations. Hard to turn off and on. The worst is the battery life. Batteries last 3-4 weeks and I only use the radio about one hour per day. This is becoming a very costly radio based on the need to replace the batteries!

The first HD radio I received, it lasted all of three weeks. Then, no power, either by battery or plugged in. I would replace the batteries, in an attempt to play the radio. A few minutes later, those batteries were hot to to the touch. Still no power. I purchased a second radio, it lasted for about one hour of play. I plug it in, and it plays for three minutes, and then the display reads “ Battery shortage power “, no batteries inside unit, but plugged in. I do not recommend this product.

Poor service. Ordered due to claim of HD Radio. Have not been able to get an HD channel.

I got this radio because I wanted to listen to FM broadcast radio in my basement. Despite living midway between two big cities and receiving lots of stations outside, reception in my basement is difficult. This radio was on Best Buy's list of radios with good reception, so I tried it. No luck. Worse results than i had with cheaper equipment. I also tried the pigtail antenna, with no improvement. It probably works fine upstairs, but that's not what I need.

It worked beautifully for about 2 hours. I turned it off and later tried to get it to work. Nope. It just died without any discernible reason. It wasn't the electric jack, because I tried it with batteries, still no life. I returned it for another because it was very nice -- clear sound, reception, compact and cool looking --when it was working. The second one arrived without the PIGTAIL antenna which is needed for HD reception. The regular telescope antenna is only for FM. I returned that one and have just received another one WITHOUT the pigtail antenna AGAIN!! Okay. I am going to return this one and see if they can get it right the next time. Hard to give this item a rating as the real problem, in two instances, seems to be whoever is packaging these products. If you can get one that works with all the parts that are needed, it would a nice radio.

1st, buttons on top are very small and hard to see (volume button is between tuning buttons, so you often chg stations attempting to chg vol.) 2nd, presets cannot be cleared, and radio defaults to highest preset, making presets nearly useless.

okay if you want an HD1 station. But if you want to return to the HD2 station you last listened to, you won't get it when you turn on again. It reverts to HD1. And may take many minutes retuning to the station you want. WHOEVER HEARD OF A RADIO THAT CAN'T RETURN TO THE LAST STATION?

I would recommend you to stay away from that product. On batteries it last a day or two max. Then the preselect stations so poorly programmed. Each time you have to start from station one and walk your wait to the programmed station of your choice. No need to comment on other features. Those two are enough to return the product. Lost of time.

Bought it and took it home, put fresh batteries in it and nothing,SAD!! Tried other batteries and still nothing. Plugged into wall and it worked. Complete JUNK!! Never trust Insignia products, not the first time I have had problems with this brand. Next time I will pay a little more for item that works!!!

Have no complaints about radio reception but the batteries do not last. Every few months I have to replace the batteries. This is even though I don't use the radio very often.

when it works it is fine. however 80% of time have to fiddle with power cord to get to turn on.

Stupid POS doesn't even turn on & work. Great job Best Buy for selling crap that doesn't even work & turn on! Getting my money back tomorrow & not buying crap from Best Buy again.. Looks like I have to bite the bullet & get an HD radio that works off Amazon which I loathe..

It’s not fair for me to review the radio because I bought the wrong one . I wanted one with AM reception. I’ll be returning it next week.

Do not waste good money on this radio. Does not work on batteries. Presets difficult if not impossible to set. No carry handle. Taking it back.
