Honestly not certain when I NEED a converter versus an adapter but when I think of the thousands of dollars in electronics I carry with me, this seems like a cheap better safe than sorry investment. The only thing I have lost thus far while traveling is the transformer for charging a razor - so I feel lucky. The only down to this is that it won't take a 3 prong plug - I've thrown a $0.30 adapter in the box and now I'm good.

Plugged in a 120V hair straightener into a 240V plug through the converter at the right setting and the hair straightener burned out. The only reason I give it two stars is because the adapters that came in did what they are supposed to (careful though, they are not grounded so may not be compatible with grounded plugs!)

I am going to Europe and this will be very helpful for my electrical appliances I bring with me.

Seems well made but a bit complex. Could use another outlet on the converter body. Bulky main box.

Worked well! No problems. Product has adaptors for anywhere you may travel. Easy to use!

Excellent purchase! It had everything I needed for my international travel. I was very skeptical because I had not been out of the country and wasn't sure if this was going to work. It definitely did!

Most American items are 3 prong plugs which this lacks. Good for travel with multiple adaptors for various countries.

Not only did this item NOT charge my devices while I was abroad in Europe. It burned out my Samsung charger for my phone and also my Samsung charger for my tablet. I had to buy new chargers for my devices. Thanks Insignia!

This set-up is compact for travel. Not too expensive, but covers the world pretty well.

I bought this voltage converter product to use during my recent trip to Europe. The package information looked ok, butonce you pen t and read the instructions, ,this product dies not realy provide the expected use intended for. Nowhere in the outside package it indicates that this voltage converter product can not be used for more than 15 minutes or it may buen or get damage. If you buy a voltage converter or regul ator, is for usage without a limited time. 15 minutes is just a token of time if you plan to charge your phone, your Ipad or hand held equipment. And f you have more than one item, it will not work, as after 15 minutes you have to stop. Ths information does not appear on the package sealed box instructions. And it nly appears ,only if you read the inide package instructions, once you get out of the store, or at tbe time you are going to use it. In fact ,it was a major frustration, and high price for a voltage converter with such a short time to be used. We will return same this week and ask for a refund. The akage information is misleading,

This product got the job done. I was not looking for any thrills, just a good adapter.

Some products charged or ran while others simply nothing happened.

We traveled to london, paris, and various cities in Italy and this worked perfect

The device wouldn't stay plugged in without propping it because of its weight

I purchased the Travel Adapter/converter for my son who is studying abroad in Paris, Rome & Seville. He has not reported that he has had any issues with the Travel Adapter/converter.

Worked great in England but not in France or Poland

the salesperson was not able to tell me that all i needed was the adaptor so i bought much more than i needed

This converter did the job and is powerful enough to use with most hair dryers, etc..
