Basically, this is a male adapter and for most tripods you need a female adapter. The materials it is made of are solid and fit well onto the GoPro... but it is unusable with regular tripods without yet another adapter. An adapter that requires another adapter...

Best little addition ever

Design needs help
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.It's good for just mounting a camera, but if you put on another brand action camera on it, don't plan on much "action" and be rough with it. The thread will come out of the mount and your camera will fall off. This design needs a bolt through thread vs. just relying on friction and adhesive.

Works to mount Dash Cam.

The screw body is a cheap plastic, and not able to tighten enough to keep the Dash Cam from swinging. Had to swap it out with a solid body aluminum screw.
