For those who hate AirPods

If you’re one of those people whose ears the AirPods don’t fit, or you hate the idea of trying to keep track of a case the size of a Tic-tac - then these are a very good alternative.
Calls are clear and the sound is great. Because these earbuds are also much heavier than AirPods, they aren’t comfortable to wear for extended periods. The ear hook is also a little bit thicker than I would like.
The earbuds charge wirelessly in their case [which requires a micro-usb cable for charging. There’s an LED indicator on the case showing the battery status which is really convenient.
You have to remove the earbud to access the power button which is a pain, but as long as you remember to switch them on before putting them in your ear, it’s tolerable.
Since they lack noise-cancellation, ambient sounds are picked up on phone calls pretty easily. And since these seal your ear- the call receipient is likely to hear more ambient sound than you will. In all fairness, the AirPods pick up a lot of ambient sound too.
You can listen to the right earbud by itself, but not the left so this defeats the purpose of alternating earbuds to extend battery life. On the bright side, This feature allows at least one ear to be free to hear what’s going on around you while still being able to listen to music or take calls with the other earbud.
The case is too bulky to take in your pocket everywhere, but it’s also harder to lose in your backpack/briefcase which is good.
If you hate AirPods, but want wireless earbuds, then these are a good option. If you love your AirPods- then the Insignia earbuds will never be a satisfying purchase.

Good Wireless Headphones for the Price

Pros; easy to set up/use, three sizes of in ear rubber “feet” to ensure a solid fit, ascetically good looking with a hard case that charges the headphones while protecting them.
Cons; touch sensor on the ear buds (changing songs, skip etc) is tricky to use and takes time to master & it’s lacking deep bass.
With that being said they’re solid while running (I’m military and run about 20 miles a week) and stay in place even when settings.

Ear buds that won't fall out of your ears

The insignia earbuds are a good pair of headphones that are truly wireless. The hook is firm but flexible and holds them in place well, and made wearing them very comfortable.
The sound quality was pretty good. They connected to my phone easily and were perfectly synced.
I would recommend that you check these out if you have trouble with ear buds that don't stay in.

Earbud to Earbud Connectivity Weak
|

The sound is average at best from these ear buds. I have tried over a dozen earbuds and these are the weakest in terms of bass. I also found the charging process was finicky. The left earbud never did turn off the red LED to show it was fully charged, even if left overnight- tried it three nights. I made sure that the contacts on each bud were connected/seated in the nice charging case.
The right earbud paired easily to my android phone. The left earbud is supposed to then pair with the right earbud when you hit its power on button but there is a design problem here (I feel). At least with the earbud set I had, the left earbud needed to be within about 8 inches of the right earbud or it did not connect. If you put the right earbud in your ear to hear music and ensure it really is paired with your phone, the natural tendency is to hold the left earbud in your hands so you can see it blink when you hit its power button. However, you are too far from the right earbud so nothing happens – no lights and it does not wake up. When I hold it near my head close enough to the right bud, it might connect or might not connect based on if it turned on or if I accidently turned it off trying to figure why there were no lights . Also once I do get both working, if I pull the right or left bud out an inch or an inch and a half, the left bud stops. It took me a while to figure all this out and that was frustrating. It may be my left earbud is defective, that may explain why this connectivity is so weak. The right and left touchpads on the buds worked fine for functions to pause/play and for cell phone call functions.
The earbuds were very comfortable and easy to put on and in your ears. The price is about the same compared to other brands that work better; so I can’t recommend these primarily due to the usability problem I mentioned

I was looking for an earphone I could use while cycling. I have another wireless pair but there’s nothing that would keep them falling out during a ride. With the over ear hook, these provide that extra security. They feel comfortable when worn for extended periods. The sound is good, but not great. There’s no app so you can’t fine tune the sound like I can with my other ear phones. Though with my iPhone you do have the sound equalizer of the phone. I think it’s just easier to change it on the fly with an app. Though only momentary, the sound did seem to drop out on a couple of occassion, but it went right back to audio. The blue connection light slow blinks when in use. Seems a bit unnecessary. Overall, if you’re doing impact workouts or traveling at speed, these are my go to just for the peace of mind they won’t fly out.

I got these Insignia wireless headphones for my wife because she loves to workout. She isn't very good with setting up devices, but I had her set these headphones up for her I phone and I Pad and she was able to do it without my help. She said that they fit real nice on her ear and are very comfortable. More importantly she likes how they stay on her ear when she is working out and running. She has enjoyed the sound as she listens to music and watches movies on her I Pad. She highly recommends these Insignia true wireless headphones if you are an active individual and you don't want to spend too much on a pair of headphones.

So you want a pair of wireless headsets but don't wanna break the bank? This pair will suit you fine. Keep in mind there will be some issues by going the cheaper route.
In the case you'll find the pair of headsets, a charging/storage case, a few extra tips, and a charging cable (which most people should have tons of by now). The case is what you charge the buds with and what is to be charged with the cable. I went from 1 dot to full dots in about 3 hrs (I was working so I didn't keep an accurate track). I had the buds in the case at the time to full charge the also.
Pairing the buds to my phone and my computer were uneventful and went on exactly as they should. The left unit paired with the right, also without issue. What I don't like is that flashing blue light to show someone other than you that your headset is on - because you don't have eyes on the sides of your head. I hate this fascination with blinky lights. I don't know if they stopped blinking after a certain time because I couldn't see them.
The audio is where you see why they're a cheaper unit. At full volume, which is like 30% of wired buds, you get a little distortion in the bass. I listen to mostly golden age hip-hop so some tracks are bass heavy and that slight bit of distortion just drives me crazy. Turn the volume down a bit fixes it, but then it becomes a rather quiet headset. At least outside sound is isolated so it won't be too much of a minus. I couldn't see using these during yardwork as I'd barely hear them over the mowing and weedeating.
The battery life is as stated and I charged it back up around 3hrs of continuous use. The case has a bit of heft to it so keep that in mind when putting it in your pocket. On the plus size this case is gonna do good in protecting the buds.
For anyone looking to get wireless buds but doesn't want to pay those sky high prices of the other brands. These would be for a good fit for (guessing) 80% of users. The others may not want to deal with the loss in sound quality - we're just picky like that, lol.

The Insignia True Wireless headphones were a little bit of a treat going into it, I have an older set of bluetooth headphones by insignia that are connected by a single wire, use these a bit for work listening to music from my PC or listening to video conferences.
The headphones themselves are surprisingly comfortable to me, typically not a huge fan of in ear headphones as they typically end up irritating me over time. With these headphones I did experience slight irritation however this was after wearing them for quite some time on a call. The size of the headphones also increases the size of the charging case, pretty much like carrying a bar of soap around with you. It doesn't bother me since I kept them in my laptop bag, but I couldn't see myself carrying them around if they were going in my pocket.
The main thing that I found somewhat of an annoyance, is the fact that the left pairs only to the right earphone. Depending on where I am at, the door can be on my right hand side, and I would use my left earphone alone to hear anyone if they came to the door, with these you do not have that option. Trying to simply leave the right earphone out of the charging case on the desk or holding it in various positions didn't allow audio output to the left.
I did not have much luck with the touch controls functioning , audio is all controller by the device, not much of a bother to me since I can easily adjust using the volume buttons on my device.
Overall, I could see this as a good option for some, the audio is good and you get a nearly true wireless experience. I put that I would recommend this to a friend, but that would be dependent on the friends needs, and not recommended to all.

I've been looking for a replacement for my wired headphones which get tangled so easily and have tried a couple earpods or 'true wireless' earphones.
These headphones connected quickly and easily to my phone and play great sounding music. The connection was not garbled at all, which sometimes happens with other truly wireless headphones. Had no problems while mowing the lawn. The headset feature, where I can answer and take calls is also great, the other person reported hearing me very well. It's great to be able to answer and decline calls by tapping either earphone.

Overall I feel it does what it needs to and sounds pretty decent for the price. My only gripe is the touch pad on the side is very sensitive and sometimes hangs up calls when I'm just adjusting the fit in my ear. Also I have had it stop playing my song because I was running hard and the vibration fooled the sensor into thinking I tapped the side twice. It's a cool feature but only when you want it. Again for the price paid I'll keep it!

I cannot recommend given the cost and other options available. Read on to see what it does do well, and why the low review.
Sound is great! Cannot fault it!
Fit...pretty good, a little heavy/bulky feeling. I found the best way to get the on the ear is to "screw" them on by putting the bottom of the clip at the top of the ear and then rotating down behind the ear and sliding the bud into the ear. It comes with other bud tips and I definitely needed the smaller size.
Battery life while it seems low, honestly after about 2 hours you would be ready to remove them. They have some bulk behind them. However, with the battery case able to charge at least a full two times, You could easily get through the week with only charging the battery case once. The battery case is hard and sturdy, so throw it in the bag and don't worry about it getting crushed. There is no storage, other than for the earbuds, for a charging cable, etc so that accessory will need to be stored separate.
Pairing was as easy as it says, with the power buttons being on the backside (skin side) of the units and the power indicator on the opposite side, you have to hold it sideways to see the blinking light when setting up for the first time. Setup was easy, just pair the right bud (master) with phone, then turn on left (slave) and they both work. I had a hard time at first telling if the left had connected. When I turned it on and put in the ear, there was no indication from the master that the slave had paired. And if a signal was in the slave, well it wasn't in my ear yet.
Taking the left bud out, playback of music was fine, taking the right bud out and moving more than 3 inches away from my head the sound stopped, moving it closer it picked back up. It never paused, just sound cuts out.
THINGS GO SOUTH REAL QUICK
FUNCTIONALITY (frown face), this is where this unit loses 3 stars! It is simply easier to say the "touch" interface just does not work. Volume is controlled by the phone only that is by design, but play/pause/skip and answer/reject calls are handled by either bud. They only time I could get it to work was when it was accidental while trying to adjust the earbuds to a better position, which is even more of a concern.
It's a hard sell at the full MSRP, on sale i could see these being a good buy, IF...IF you have a smartphone arm band or wear a smartwatch, as you will need to have access to something else to actually control the unit outside of ON/OFF functionality.
I'm a huge fan of Plantronics still using 1st Gen BackBeat Fit and just upgraded to 3100 Series "True Wireless" headphones. Comparing this Insignia headset its not even in the same category as far as ease of use. Again sound quality, and fit, no complaints, Plantronics is better though. However, PRICE...for 2 more of your Alexander Hamilton's you can get the 3100 series. Which as above and beyond an upgrade, dare I say a different category altogether.
Even if the Insignia's are on sale, your in the Plantronics 2100 Series and 1st Gen BackBeat Fit price category, which are not "True Wireless", but you have to look at functionality when deciding how to spend a Benjamin or more.
Giving this product 1 Star didn't seem fair because typically sound and fit is where these fail, but because they are trying to price in the lower-high end or upper mid-range category, its a no go. Even at half price MSRP you have to decide if your okay with not really having any controls on the earbuds. With no companion app, there isn't away to update any firmware, etc. My Plantronics just keep getting better, I can remap the "soft-touch" buttons, again for just two more Hamilton's!
So let's say the control issues were not there, this also cannot launch Google Assistant or Siri with any button presses!! Which drops the review to only 1 Star.
Scenario's I recommend: for phones at Desk use, as the controls are right there for volume and track playback, or even if taking calls also via computer/tablet. Fitness, which I say you don't want to be bothered, so put the phone in DO NOT DISTURB so your sound is not cut out if you get an incoming call; have your playlist in order so you don't have to fool with next track, etc.
But even after all this, they are supposed to be "True Wireless", but clearly it is only meaning the buds are not tethered, and I hate to harp, but PRICE, PRICE, PRICE.
Disclosure I did not test this device to pair directly to a smartwatch as some watches have capabilities. My can but is an Moto 360 Sport and is a little finnicky in its old age, so didn't think it fair to fault any issues that most likely (well maybe not considering) lay with my watch.
DO I RECOMMEND? NO if at full price. I tried to be fair in the scenario's, so unless this is an extremely cheap purchase, with the nearly lack of any controls on the buds, I would recommend a different product.
