Flash didn't even last 2 hour before malfunctioning. I bought it specifically for a wedding I used it one or two times before the reception. It flashed correctly for about 2 hours then it would randomly fire or turn off. The flash wouldn't charge. I returned it the next day and got my money back. I was lucky to have an old back up flash so it wasn't a complete wait of a wedding.

Decent flash which works 80% of the time. Bought 2 for the slave systems to work together, and only Fire/work together every other flash.

I had been using a Nikon SB-600 but one wrong look at it and it stopped working. I didn't want to spend another $300 on something that broke so easily. For the price of this flash it wasn't much of a risk. I was very impressed with the build quality and features on this flash. It does everything that my SB-600 did for me at 1/4 the price. The built in defuser and reflector are great features you don't find on the Nikon flash. For the price you can't go wrong. No need to spend the extra $$ on the Nikon flash....

I've had a Nikon SB600 that I've had for 7 years. When it stopped working for the 3rd time, I decided to try something else. I bought one of these. The cycle time is way too long. Buy a Nikon.

I'll admit that I bought this flash not expecting much but was pleasantly surprised when I finally did receive it. Decent build, decent light output, and more features than one should expect for the price paid. Worked well enough with my Nikon D5300. I used it indoors for portraiture. Had it for about a month and took about 100 shots with it before it stopped working. It would turn on, but the flash refused to charge up. The "flash ready indicator" light would flicker, but would never become steady, indicating that it was ready. I even waited upwards of 20-30 minutes hoping that it would become ready, but never did. I replaced the batteries with two other sets of fresh batteries, and that didn't work. Eventually I returned it for a refund. Great flash when it worked, but didn't seem to hold up long enough. Maybe I got a defective unit. Not sure I would try again.

Got this for my Nikon 7100. Well constructed and designed to use all of the features offered by my Nikon. Instruction book is helpful in showing you how to use this flash with the Nikon camera. This is a large and powerful flash so the tilt option with built in reflector is a good option.

I was in the market for an external flash for my Nikon D3200 and at one point was considering the expensive Nikon flash to accompany it. Knowing I did not want to spend $300.00 or more, I did further research. Found this Insignia flash for $70.00. What a best buy!!!! Easy to operate and fits my D3200 perfectly!!! I am just learning how to use the features. If you are looking for an external flash, then I would recommend this.

I've been doing some research on the external flashes. I am glad i purchased this flash. I can't compare it to anything else but works great and use to use.

This external flash is definitely a great buy. It's very simple, versatile, and affordable but it is a great quality. I love the slave modes and being able to use the camera to fire off the flash. With the money I saved buying this versus a Nikon external flash, it was absolutely worth it. It's a more affordable price but still very high quality.
