Customers have good things to say about the improved grip and comfort offered by the Ultimate Grip Case for Nintendo Switch, making it easier and more enjoyable to play in handheld mode. Many appreciate the added protection for their device, although some users note challenges with fit and compatibility with existing carrying cases and the Switch dock. While the price is generally considered reasonable, a few customers wish it included a screen protector.

    Great game grip for Switch

First I love the Nintendo Switch, however as anyone with larger hands can attest it is not very comfortable to hold in portable mode. This game grip solves that problem. It is rather flimsy without the system in it, but once it's in it is sturdy and the noticeable wobble of the Joy cons disappears. It holds everything together nicely, and feels good in the hands. It does come with 2 sets of different grips, one is smaller and smooth the other larger with finger contours. The system will rock forward causing the L and R bumpers to activate if laid on a table. If you use skins on your Switch it will interfere when inserting the Joy cons. It also does not fit well in the Official Switch dock, the slightest bump and it loses connection and goes back to portable mode. You have to insert the screen first then attach the Joy cons. There is enough clearance on the screen that it will not interfere with screen protectors. If you have large hands this will make your Switch easier to hold and feel more comfortable in the hands. It also adds very little to the overall weight of the system. There is no game cart storage so you're limited to what is in the system and digital purchased games unless you have a travel case for your games. It will also not protect your Switch if you drop it. I would highly recommend this if you need a game grip like I did.

Great for big or small hands

I have x-large hands, and it didn't take me long to start getting cramps while playing with my switch. My 5 year old has small hands and the switch was just plain slippery for her and she kept losing grip. I looked around and found this, and it's been wonderful! I can hold the switch and play comfortably, no more hand cramps! and the joycons can still slide out of it easily, once they are removed the screen part comes out real easy, so I found the easiest way to remove it when necessary is to remove the joycons and then slide the touch screen out... this way you aren't flexing it any more than you have to. My daughter loves the big grips for holding it, no more dropping it for her either. Well worth the money. If you play it portable more than docked, then this is for you since it doesn't fit in the dock with the case on. It doesn't fit in my switch carrying case, but if I'm taking it out of the house, I'm going to take the cover off, put the switch in my case, and then bring the cover along if I feel I need it. When I play it without the case, I quickly realize how much i miss it.

This thing is really great for handheld mode. excellent price point and super comfortable, especially with the additional grip included. Only issue is putting it into the dock is a little tight and doesnt really work with anything plugged into the usb slots on the side but honestly, its easy enough to remove the grip thing to not be an issue.

This product isn’t exactly what I thought it would be. I was hoping for larger grips like those on the XBox and PS4 controllers. But, even with what is provided, it is easier to hold the Switch and eliminates the cramping and slipping of the Switch during portable play. It just snaps on the back of the Switch like a phone case and then it’s ready to go. Popping it off isn’t difficult either, you just start with popping out a corner and then the rest comes off easily. Thinking about it, it would have been great if this item was somehow thin enough to go into the dock without having to remove it. I have found myself having to put it on and take it off a lot because I don’t want to unplug the dock or buy extra cables or different docking stands so I can leave it on. It also doesn’t fit into most Switch cases, so you’d need to get that large travel case that’s like a box or the backpack or you’ll have this extra piece that you’ll have to carry around and not lose. Overall, provides the comfort grip for portable playing and makes it feel secure - like it’s not going to slip out of my hands, and accomplished the task I bought it for.

I was having my hand cramp while playing my switch so i decided to look into a grip. ill be honest in saying i picked this up mainly for the price but was surprised at how much i liked it. the interchangeable grip is nice, i used the non-grooved one, and the switch is still dock-able with the grip on. 2 downsides is if will scratch the screen when docked because its just too tight but i have a screen protector so i didn't worry about it; and it will only fit snug with joy-cons attached, once you remove the joy-cons the screen will fall right out. over all love it and for $10-15 cant complain

This grip case works well to provide additional leverage when using the switch in portable mode and still fits in the original dock without having to take the case off. Only other improvement I would suggest is to provide a kickstand since this one blocks the built in one. Won't take any points off for that though since this case works so well especially for those with big hands! Price was fair for it as well.

Got this because after awhile my hands would get cramped, with this the comfort has improve tremendously! Was really happy especially for the price! Only downside is finding a case that can carry my switch with this installed as you would have to the grip case off if you want to place it in a carrying case.

I've had recurring problem of the hinge that holds my joy-cons to the console wearing out. I figured it was because I was putting too much pressure on the sides of the console while I as holding it, so I'd have to buy a case like this if I wanted to avoid sending any more controllers in for repair. I bought this case because it said the console would still fit easily into the dock with it on. While it does fit into the dock, its not nearly as easy as it was without the case. You have to be a bit more slow and careful with it and make sure its aligned correctly or it won't connect. Other than that its pretty good. The joy-cons can be removed without taking the case off, which is nice. All the pressure from me unintentionally manhandling my Switch is now going to the grips instead so I don't have to worry about controllers popping off or hinges being broken. The grips feel a bit small but I also have big hands so I have that complaint with most controllers. For the price it could have been way worse. I'm happy with it.

This item has definitely proved its worth. It is not perfect, but most definitely functional. I have bigger hands, at least big enough that joucons alone are small and uncomfortable. This makes up most of if not all of the Gap and creates a much more comfortable gaming experience. A couple less than perfect notes, it is Avery snug fit which is good and bad. Good = stays in place and switch is secure Bad = hard to get on and off...too tight of a fit for docking withit on. Workarounds: I place the until in and then slide each joycon on for a more gentle approach. Similarly I remove each joycon and then remove the center piece. Word of caution...screen becomes unsecured once both joycons are removed. As far as docking... honestly would recommend not docking the Switch with it on...not a good feed. You need an affordable grip, this is DEFINITELY agood option.

The most prominent aspect of the Switch is its mobility. Unfortunately, often anything’s greatest strength can also be their weakness. Tablet mode feels very small in a lot of hands, this grip is dockable and adds just enough girth to make my experience a little better. Now, the grip is good, but I imagine there is one even better somewhere. The price tag makes this affordable if you need something quickly but maybe do a little research and see if an even better unit is out there.

This is one of the best accessories i have brought for my switch. I have big hands so i tend to get cramps when playing handheld mode and this keeps that from happening. Also i always felt holding the switch in handheld mode loosens the joy cons on the switch, with this grip you are holding the grip and not the joy cons. just wish it was a little easier to get the switch in and out i feel like i might break it each time i put it on or take it off. It does fit nice and snug the system does not move around at all. Must buy if you need a grip.

Comes with two different grip options which was great. It has a good in the hand feeling but feels a little hard to dock in this case. It gives your fingers the distance they need to hit the buttons better much like an Xbox controller or the switch controller I'd say. I haven't taken this case off since I got it it feels better for gaming but the plastic especially on the back of the switch feels a little weak. For the price I'd definitely recommend

I thought I was the only one with hands going numb after some serious portable sessions but I've seen other comments of this happening. I can't play portable anymore without this grip. It fits in the dock but it's very tight, so I stopped doing it. I believe it needs some instructions on how to better put the console in and out easily (remove the Joy Con before you take it in or out) but other than that it's great.

This grip is a must buy if you play the Switch in handheld mode often (and not just for people with large hands). It feels so much more comfortable to hold. The handles put your hands/wrists at a more natural angle, so it feels more like using a Pro controller. It fits snugly and feels sturdy, but doesn't add much weight. I've been playing Smash Bros in handheld mode and this grip makes the experience WAY better.

I love this grip for the Nintendo Switch. I found I was uncomfortable playing it because my hands were at an awkward angle to me. I bought this right away and am in love. The only downfall is that it does not fit into the travel case with this on. I travel frequently for work so I do go without it on those trips, but I love using it when I'm home. I definitely recommend this.

Excellent grip case for larger hands. This makes playing portable much more enjoyable for me. Will not fit into your standard switch case, and will not fit in the official dock if you also have a screen protector on your switch. Remember to put switch console into grip first, then slide joycons in to secure. To remove grip case, detach joycons then remove console.

I think the grip itself is very comfortable but my hands are big and I wish the handle was a bit bigger. It does feel much better than not having one. I bought it for $10 and by far a good investment. It doesn't say in the package but it fits in your dock with the case on. It is difficult to take off from the console.

I got this case 7 months ago when I got my child the Switch. He is rough with everything so I was terrified the switch would break. He LOVES the grips on this case - it makes it much easier for him to hold the Switch - and I LOVE how well it protects it. It’s easy to put in and take out. MUST BUY!
