    Extremely weak transmitter

The range was too short on this transmitter to reach my rear window antenna. Constant static, awful sound quality. ISimple transmitter worked better for range but died in a week. Even staff acknowledged this one had quality issues while buying but it was all they had in store.

Opened the package right outside the store because I had my doubts about this type of device and my suspicions were confirmed. Plugged into my iPhone fully charged and strong 4-G signal. Tried some YouTube music and got nothing but weak fading sound and horrible ignition interference. Five minutes later it was returned to the store. Conclusion: If it says INSIGNIA on the box-forget it.

This unit is good for getting your music onto a car speaker set if no other options are available. I have used it to play my music in cars that have only a radio or cd, and no Bluetooth. You do have to fish for a solid frequency to connect clearly , and the quality is like a weak radio frequency with occasional clarity. But it works and is a great back up if playing your music in any car is a must.

We bought this FM transmitter to avoid having to install a new stereo in my daughter's Mazda. She enjoys listening to Spotify and music on her cell phone and this was the best option. She really enjoys using it and has no problems with the transmitter not working properly. Great option if you want to stay with factory equipment but also want to use other equipment not intended to work with your vehicle.

I got this to use in my truck because I drive about 3 hours every day and it didnt have a cd player and i like listening to music. This does the job but it's touchy. By that I mean that the connection is not super solid and every once in a while the sound is a bit off and I have to repostition my phone for whatever reason. But its not really that big of a deal so 4 stars seems right.

I needed a solution for my older truck and this seemed like it would fit the bill. You just plug it into your cigarette plug and then the AUX cord to your phone or other AUX port device. You can choose which radio station to use but all of them are noisy to some degree and if you're travelling you have to keep changing the channel. I'm returning it and looking for a different option.

I have an older car with no Bluetooth and the aux port broke, so the cheapest solution I came up with was this FM Transmitter. Works great, use it daily to play music while I drive. The only reason I didn’t give it a 5 Star is that it was really hard to find a good fm station to play. The transmitter doesn’t go down far enough to the really obscure channels.

This rarely works just right. Most of the time, there is way too much static and I have to move the thing around just to get the static to go away. The fact that I had to pay 40 dollars for this makes me feel insulted. I can't give it only one star because every once in a while I have been able to enjoy it, but overall there is no way I could recommend this to anyone.

I was excited about dropping SiriusXM and using this instead, but found it really didn’t work well. The unit pinpoints radio station transmissions to work and they become weaker or stronger when driving and won’t work at all if it cannot locate a station to utilize. I returned the unit.

Overall this is a great product. It allows you to listen to music from your phone in areas that might not get good radio reception. The one problem I did notice is that it is sometimes touchy and becomes staticky. This doesn't happen all the time. It is a life saver in those areas where there's nothing to keep the driver awake.

Works well enough if you only have 3.5mm jack

Works well as long you’re not too close to a more powerful source on the same frequency. My phone has a Lightning connection and I should have spent the extra $10 to get that version of this item as it also passes power to the phone, unlike the 3.5mm plug. Conditionally recommended if you’re on a budget and only have a 3.5 mm input

This product is fairly inexpensive and provides good quality sound. the start up installation literally takes less than 10 seconds and all you do is plug it into the car charger and hold one button. it finds a static free radio station and allows your music to but outputted through your phone or mp3 player. sometimes it gets fuzzy but that is solved by just adjusting the station.

This product does the job. I was amazed that it actually picks up connection and I could listen to music from my phone. I had been wanting an aux cord in my car for the longest! Although it worked, unfortunately the quality wasn't the best. It can sound static at times which can be frustrating. I would just turn it off and listen to the radio. This didn't work for me.

This FM adapter does a pretty good job of enabling you to listen to your own music on your phone through your car stereo. Admittedly, it's not the best quality, but to be fair products like these are already a bit of a workaround to begin with. In any case, it sets up easy, just plug it in to power and select a radio station, and you're good to go!

I have an 07 Mercury Grand Marquis and they are easy to break into so I didnt want to spend money on buying it a new stereo after I saw how easy it was for AAA to open the door for me. So I got this FM modulator so I can listen to my music from my phone. Doesnt work too bad, if its sensitive to your touch just switch stations and most the time it works better.

I got this FM Universal transmitter because I'm a truck driver and I work in the oil field and I don't get too many radio channels being that I'm out in the middle of nowhere so I use a lot of online music and so far this is work real great for me...

This transmitter allows me to play music from my phone through my radio in my truck. It does its job. It's pretty straightforward to use, and it works. My only complaint would be that I have to unplug it from the jack even when my truck is off because it draws from the battery and stays on. That's the reason for only four stars.

Recently completed a 2500 mile road trip in an older vehicle and this device saved us from listening to lame radio stations. It is easy to change frequency either automatically or manually. The frequency response is good, especially if you work in the 106-108 MHz range. Overall, this is much better than older units I have used. Cord length is good.

This is an adequate solution to connect a blue tooth device to the car radio. Only issue is that as you travel into areas that have a radio signal the encroaches on the radio dial position you are using, there is interference. Occasionally (and not often) it is hard to find a radio dial position that will work without interference.

Because the CD player is broken in our car we needed an alternative to playing CDs on a long trip. While the transmitter is nice, it is tricky to find a station that plays the music well. We are constantly have to change channels, which is tough when by yourself. The price of owning an older car i guess
