I bought this card reader because I take a lot of pictures and video. I'm a bit of a computer geek - to put it mildly, and I edit my data using Apple, Microsoft, and Linux. This little gadget is recognized (by any OS) almost instantly and works seamlessly with whatever software I choose.

This card reader accepts all the different memory card formats and as PC's no longer are including a card slot reader, almost required to interface unless plugging in the device directly. For my CF card, more stable than plugging in the camera.

Since most laptops don’t have the right ports for memory cards, I had to acquire a card reader. The Insignia works perfectly and has a great price. Plug in this USB connected reader and upload my photos quickly.

Last product was failing to read properly, (was cheap brand I will leave nameless) so we purchased this one and it works great. Highly recommended If you need to transfer file's from a camera to your pc for editing.

This works great for my needs. I am a high-level fine art photographer, not a busy studio, so this is completely adequate. If I were shooting 700-800 photos a day, I might want something with a little more speed.

I found an old memory card from a camera I owned years ago and could NOT find a way to see what was on it. I went to Best Buy and found this reader and could not have been happier! Easy plug-and-play reader!

Traveling over the holidays I left the state without my card reader and knew I wanted to share pics with family so I decided to buy this reader, recommended by the tech, to keep in my camera bag. So far so good.

I forgot to bring a card reader on a trip, so stopped in Best Buy to get a new one. This one is nice because the USB cord is detachable, which makes it easier to stow in a laptop bag. Works quickly, sturdy unit.

Needed a card reader for my computer,this one takes several card sizes.I took it out of the box, plug it in to my computer and tried several different SD cards,works great with no problems.

This was most desparately needed! It fulfills all the hopes I had for it. With so many different people using different cards, this has simplified my life when exchanging info, designs, and files with others.

The summary pretty much says it all. It was very affordable, easy to use, and had no issues reading any media. I guess if a product does what it says it will do, you have a winner! Good product!

With the advent and proliferation of the SD card format, I was in need of something to read CF cards for a large format digital camera. This portable reader is great for fieldwork uploads to a laptop.

I remove my SD card from my video camera, yea I still use one, put the card in my tower, yea I still have one on those as well, and transfer the photos to my computer. Easy peasy.

Was looking for an external card reader that could read SD and CF and found this one. It does read other formats. Works well and have had no problems. Just odd that the cards have to be inserted upside down. That does not cause a problem, it's just weird.

I have a Sony Handycam with a pro duo card. Bought this to import videos of my son's hockey team. Just plug in, plug in pro duo card and bam, an hour and a half of videos in seconds.

Works as advertized. On vacation travel I could download pics from my cameras and from all of my friends to a Surface Pro and then show them after dinner each night. It was great!

Other than my Sony laptop, which I recently replaced, I did no have a way to read or download pictures and videos from my Sony camera's Duo Stick, as other laptop manufacturers do not include a duo stick reader on their laptops. We have a desk top computer with only the standard USB ports. This card reader allows us to quickly and easily download the photos from our camera at a very reasonable price.

this product was purchased to be able to read the card reader from my sisters camera. It was important that I be able to get the photos needed and it allowed me to do so

I lost the cable for my camera to download photos from my camera to my laptop. Since a replacement cable was not available, the memory card reader was an excellent replacement
