I consulted a Best Buy salesman and we determined this to be the best choice for my use. It comes with clear instructions and is extremely easy to connect and use. So far it is serving its purpose well. It was very reasonably priced!

It is the most efficient storage transfer option available. It is small and can be carried anywhere. It is great for downloading from my camera memory card to my MAC.

Fast file transfer

It's the best $8 I've ever spent. I wish I would have known about this earlier so I could have avoided tethering every camera I've ever had directly to my laptop. It transfers files quickly and is super easy to use.

Most of the other card readers I was looking at were USB 3.0 and that wasn't going to work for me. This did everything I needed it to do, so 4 stars. It does feel like it is a little on the fragile side, that's why I didn't go to 5 stars, but like I said, it is fine for it's intended purpose. Lastly, I only used the SD card slot, so I have no comment on the other card slots.

I do wish though that all thumb drives and card readers would have a more solid ring to attach it to keyring or purse or something. As is they either don't, or they are flimsy and easily breakable so you can LOSE THEM.
