Good alternative/computer doesn't have sd reader

Inexpensive way to get around busted SDcard reader

This little gadget works very well, and it is far easier to just plug this into a USB port than to remove a broken card reader and replace it with another. I have had no problems with the reader at all. It also reads micro-Sd cards as well.

Additionally, I use an SD card on my laptop for regular storage (It only has a small SSD drive) and I don't like moving the card in and out so this device works perfectly to read other cards.

This one I bought on a whim (good price), and I absolutely needed it to download files from a camera memory card into my computer (no other way to interface the two). Very glad I had it.

I lost my cord for my camera and ran out to buy another. When I learned that they didn't have them, the day before I needed the photos off of my camera for a big presentation, I opted to buy this reader instead and am certainly glad I did.

very good for beginner

Great SD card reader

Keep in mind that the SD card will stick out making the product wider so make sure you don't have a tight space for the flash drive to fit. This wasn't a problem for me but might be for others.

The laptop had no built in SD slot and I desired a way to load pictures and ultimately view them on my HD TV. Purchased the Insignia SD card reader and it was the perfect solution. Highly recommend the Insignia SD card reader.

Nice and durable design

On another portable reader with a straight-through design, the caps started falling off and the card started to seat poorly. I've had this one for over a year with no problems. I liked it enough I bought a second one!

I bought a couple of them to carry with me on travel. HINT - you can burn a copy of your cell phone SIMM card via USB.
