This little humdinger saved me from having to get my folks a whole new computer, setting it up, and explaining to them how it worked. Their network card, which is integrated on their motherboard went bad. The Best Buy associated directed me to this adapter and it has worked like a champ. It loaded easily and connected to the internet faster. They have not had a single issue with this item.

It truly is plug and play. But, I didn't read the description close enough. It is only designed for 10 Mbps. I have 250 Mbps internet service. It got be up to about 60-70 Mbps, but still not good enough, so back it went. If you have internet less than 50 Mbps, this is a good product.

The only MAJOR downside to this product is that their website does not offer an online driver download, and who has a cd driver on their computer these days? I was on the phone with Insignia support and she gave me instructions. The name of the driver you need to install for this adapter is called "AX88772B". You can find this on www.axis.com.tw > Support > Drivers> "SuperSpeed USB-to-LAN ICs" > USB 2.0 to Fast Ethernet> AX88772B. This will take you to the download page where you will then need to select your model. Hope this helps, I searched everywhere and could not find this lol.

Got this connector to be able to directly connect my laptop with no Ethernet connection to the router to get better performance. Working like a charm, so far! The only annoying part was installing the drivers, but then I guess that’s par for the course with most things these days!

This product worked great to help convert my USB printer to an Ethernet connection due to a router issue I was having. It was an easy plug and work connection. It came with software to load but only for older versions of OS. Worked good without the software for Windows 10.

The IT reviewer suggested ditching wireless in the office. The email laptop does not have an ethernet port. So I found this on the second try (first device didn't work). It simply works! Speed are good.

I bought this product to add a second Ethernet connection to a laptop so that I could bridge between two networks to allow for remote desktop connection to a closed network. It works exactly as I needed. The only hiccup was with the driver. If I remember correctly, I had to use an older driver to get it to work properly.

I think this is expensive I bought one for a cheaper price in Amazon. The insignia one is more slim and worked better. I guess you get what you paid for. I use everyday since I bought it and haven't had any problems with it.

I work from home was having some Internet issues wanted to run Speed Check on my Internet Service. My Laptop did not have the connection for the test so I decided on an adaptor. It was economical, easy to connect and now I can do periodic Speed Checks on my Internet to head off issues.

Does good job to connect USB port to RJ45 Ethernet cable. Note if no CD drive then easiest to copy the driver to flash drive or network location from another computer equipped with a CD drive. Otherwise good luck finding driver online.

I bought this adapter to be able to hook up my laptop to a RJ-45 cable. Haven’t had any issues now and I’ve owned it for a couple of months. The price was great and very happy with the job it’s meant to do. No complaints

I purchased this Ethernet adapter for use on an older computer. The internet speeds are as fast as the NIC that is installed. The USB to Ethernet adapter now allows me to operate gear that needs a hardwire connection for two different networks.

Got a new laptop. Very small and mobile. Due to being mobile, it does not have a hard wire internet port. This attachment was plug and play and I have had no issues with it and will continue to use it. Plugs into USB port allowing hard wire internet access.

So it works great. You can plug and unplug and it works instantly. Be warned though, the driver it requires comes on a... CD! Remember those? Who has a CD drive anymore?! I haven’t seen one of those in years. Well, I was able to look in system profiler under USB devices and get the manufacturer “Asix Electronics” and the model number, not the “Insignia” number but the real number and look up on their site and find the driver and install it and it works. They need to give you a web address, or a thumb drive, not a CD.
