Many of the new laptops do not have the collection of various ports found on older machines and the adapters are needed to make the necessary connections. These adaptors solve the connection problems one is faced with.

I got this to work on my MacBook Pro, but it does require the manual installation of drivers before it would work. Once that was done, it works as advertised. Keep in mind that this adapter will not go past 100Mbps due to limitations with USB.

Relatively inexpensive and performs as advertised. Only comment - at first I couldn't tell if a driver download was necessary, and nothing really indicated that I was good to go. A message like that would be helpful for the first plugin.

Needed a usb type c to rj45 adaptor for PLC programming. This one was on the shelf open. It is not type c but would work in the pinch I was in. Out of stock for the type c so I opted for the returned open box at half price. Works fine. Happy.

Purchased this ethernet adaptor when I realized I had just purchased a laptop that didn't have an ethernet port and the WIFI in my house was so intermitent it was maddening. You do need to either have a CD drive or download the driver for it.

It was easy to install, just load the disk and plug in the adapter, choose a network and key your password. Runs at the same speed as my direct-connect desktop.

This connector works fine, as long as you have it with you when you need it! Who knows when you'll need this connection, but if you do, you'll be happy to have a connector with you and now have to go searching stores for it!

What can I say this item is not going to wow you with it's amazing anything. It will work as described and help out in a pinch. No reason for less stars as there is nothing wrong with the item or the service.

I bought this ethernet adapter when the ethernet port on my desktop died. I followed the enclosed instructions and plugged it in and it has worked without any errors ever since. SOLID accessory. Very Happy with this purchase.
