This item works great. If your computer does not have an ethernet port this is a perfect alternative for it. Only comes with cd-rom content. There is no website to go to to get the latest firmware for the product. You have to find a computer with a cd-rom and download to that so you can transfer it to a jump drive.

Crazy to think that we live in a world where you still need to plug a computer directly into a router, but it happens sometimes. This device is great for those times, and it travels with me in my backpack to hook my MacBook up whenever needed. I’ve found the device is most helpful when I need to run speed tests on my modem.

Many of the new laptops don't have Ethernet ports so if your wifi connection is bad you have no way to connect to the internet. With this device you can convert a USB port into a Ethernet port to gain a direct connection to your internet. Great for when wifi signals are too weak to make a connections.

Windows 10 laptops for wife and son don't have Ethernet connections so I found these. Although I worried that these less expensive dongles wouldn't port fast enough, I was happy that the full speed of my DSL (yes, I know, but that's all Rural NC has) worked just fine.

I needed a USB 2.0 ethernet adapter, not a 3.0, which I bought, but it wouldn't work on the older laptop whose adapter had died. Took a bit to choose the drivers online - there were several choices when the installer searched online. Works fine though.

I had a problem with Wi-Fi connection on my new computer, then I purchased this adapter to plug into the router directly. No more problem, it connects instantly. ( I had a friend scan product before I used it - no hidden software) Excellent product; Highest rating.

This is just what I needed to keep my Chromebook connected to the ethernet. It saves me from needing to buy and entirely new device. Yep, when the Chromebook gets old, it stops connecting to the wifi. This gadget (and a LONG ethernet cord) was a life saver. Thanks!

Had connectivity issues. After troubleshooting everything I could it was suggested that maybe my internal ethernet adapter may be going bad. Can't say all issues were resolved, but it has helped. Just plugged in and everything was much better. Quality and ease to use were great.

I bought this adapter so that I could connect my Surface Pro to a desktop monitor while at my desk. Even though the packaging says "For MAC", a Mini Display Port is a Mini Display Port! Worked beautifully on my Surface Pro running Windows 10 and would highly recommend this for anyone looking to do the same.

Must have for new computers with no ethernet connection! Many new thin computers have no ethernet connection. What happens when WIFI is down and you need to log directly into your modem. You need this device. Always have one on hand.
