I followed the instructions as written in the instruction manual, and the device wouldn't work. I called Insignia Tech support, and they didn't troubleshoot the item but instead told me to bring the item back because it was defective. It would have made sense to at least go through basic troubleshooting methods instead of assuming the item was defective and asking me to exchange it for another when the issue was never properly identified.

This allows me to plug it into my USB hub, thus keeping the port on the side of the laptop available for other uses. Automatically downloaded driver during installation.
