I was concerned that adding this adapter might cause (some) slowdown in connection speeds and hoped that this item was truly capable of up-to-gigabit speeds. I was pleasantly surprised. Great product for the price!

windows 10 didn't need any drivers. My Lenovo yoga didn't have an Ethernet port, and i need one every once in a while. At this price, i keep one in my car and one in the bag, just in case. so far have been reliable and fast.

I have a Dell laptop which is only 3 1/2 years old - but ancient in 'technology years' . . . so the internal network card only allowed me to have an internet speed of 100 Mbps. This limited the capability of my new fiber optic connection which allowed me to get a speed of 300 Mbps. Since i am not really computer savvy, i dreaded this purchase as i thought it would cause me a lot of 'set up time'. The GREAT news is that with Windows 10, I just plugged it into the Ethernet port, and re-booted the computer. And, though the product comes with a start up CD, with Windows 10, you don't even need that! Set up was soooo simple. The other FANTASTIC news is that the product works GREAT - my download speed went from about 90 Mbps to 270 Mbps! I cannot say enough good things about this purchase!

This came in handy when my WiFi wasn’t working and the only way to fix it was with a wired connection. Fortunately, Best Buy had it in stock. This adapter saved the day. Now I carry it with me when traveling. Works like a charm!

Wifi and computers are so slow at school so I found a faster way to get homework done at school. Connect my laptop to the school's Ethernet connection using this little adapter which worked wonders. Super easy to use...just plug in and you're ready to get to work.

Bought this to use with a MacBook Pro and a Microsoft Surface Pro. Did not have any problem getting the computers to recognize the adapter. I have not clocked throughput, but it is fast enough for occasional wired-Ethernet connections.

Recently made the switch to fiber optic internet. Over WiFi I was getting around 140Mb/s and unfortunately my laptop doesn't come standard with an ethernet port. This increased my speeds to around 8-900Mb/s and haven't had a dropped connection once.

I have lenovo laptops and previous to finding this gem, only the Lenovo brand dongles worked I am very happy to have finally found a dongle that works. My clients are always losing their OEM ones so being able to snag one of these at most Best Buys is awesome!

Fast and easy setup works exactly what you need it for quick connection without the bulk of a big card and does not need drivers downloaded would def recommend using usb 3.0 port for faster speeds

I've been using this adapter since my purchase date. I work from home and this allows my Surface Laptop 3 to be hard-wired into my router. The connectivity is awesome, would definitely recommend!

Havent had to rely on this product yet, I purchased this adapter for insurance of a iffy home network. From what I have tested it works great and very easy and intuitive. Would recommend over high priced name brands. My laptop is a Microsoft Surfacebook.

This allowed me to connected my 2 in 1 tablet to my lan connection to stream my movies for my plex. My setup is so streamline because of this.

Easy auto setup on a Windows 10 laptop. WiFi is really nice, but sometimes you just need the high speed only can get with physical network connection. Insignia brand is less expensive, but based on my experiences, just as good ad the more expensive brands.

This solved my dilemma when errors were experienced trying to image a computer with a different brand adapter. This one worked, as my did my previous USB2 version, quickly and efficiently. I will purchase this again, if ever needed.

You don't know ya need til ya need it! Couldn't bring new modem online without. Best Buy was there to save the day. Another great Insignia brand product. It was an open box item, but crew at Best Buy made sure it up to par before I left the store.

My surface pro doesn't have an Ethernet port. I wanted to get higher speed rates for some virtualization of various music events. I use this with a long ethernet extension cord. Works well.

I needed this in a remote situation where the available wifi was poor quality, and it does exactly as advertised. I like that it has a proper PC-style ethernet port with status lights, which other models and brands do not.

Gave me good internet speeds while still maintaining a good connection. No issues that I can tell. Of course with an adapter, you always risk some lag or latency issues but I didn't experience any with this device.
