My laptop has no Ethernet Port and when the shelter at home started I had 4 people trying to use wifi at the same time. This adaptor allowed me to continue working seamlessly. Exceeded my expectations!

I bought a Lenovo laptop unknown to me did not have a RJ45 port, so I had to purchase the ethernet adapter, it works great plugged it into the 3.0 USB port and you do not even know its not a direct RJ45 connection. Good Product.

I have a Mac so I had to install a driver or something additional for this adapter to work but the instructions were clear and it was an easy way to help our internet and connect our ethernet cord.

Plug it into a USB 3 port - and it 30 seconds, you are connected. Windows 10 downloaded the drivers, installed them, and it worked. If only everything installed that easy. 1GB up/down on a USB 3 port, about 500MB up/down on a USB 2 port.

I had some Cat 5/6 lines ran and drops added. However, the newer HP laptops don't a ethernet spot. The Insignia™ - USB 3.0-to-Gigabit Ethernet Adapter worked to perfection. Great product.

This has been a very nice addition to my home office. The new laptop issued by my company doesn't have a hardwire port just USB. I'm getting the same speeds I did with my built in ports. Very happy!!!

I bough this adapter when I had an issue with my WiFi router. It seems once the radios are shut down, it’s impossible to access if all of your devices are wireless. This device is a great backup for times when you need to access a wired network with a newer computer.

Great easy to install USB 3 to Gigabit ethernet adapter. Once plugged into the box and detected by the Windows 10 OS, the driver was quickly loaded making the install quick and easy. It be nice if it came in black, but overall, can’t go wrong with this buy.

I get full speed on my computer, does not hinder the mbps. I have noticed a couple times if I plug this into my computer after my computer has been running for a while, I will have to restart my computer to get my MacBook Pro to recognize the connection. Hasn't been a huge issue or pain for me though.

We needed am adapter so our surface pro 4 was able to have a hard wire (ethernet) to update the software. This device does not have that kind of port. This worked perfectly!! We were skeptical, but figured its worth a shot. Worth every penny.

I have an X1 Yoga (which I'll never get another, BTW) that does not have an RJ45 port. I needed to get on my company's LAN hardwired to complete a setup, but could not. This device gave me that connection and worked well.

We purchased a laptop that didn't have Ethernet on the unit so we needed a USB to Ethernet adapter and purchased this one. The instructions are easy to follow and setup was easy. The adapter works as it should.

No problems with it, it's perfect if you don't have the direct Ethernet plug on your laptop or it is not working properly. Just make sure to download the drivers for it so it works properly and is recognized by your system.

This is a simple, easy to use USB 3.0 to Gigabit ethernet adapter. No extra drivers needed to be downloaded for this to work. It uses a very common Realtek USB GbE Family controller, so Windows 10 sees it right away. I plugged it in, it configured itself, I plugged in the ethernet cable and I got connected to the internet. Even though it's an "Insignia" branded device and not Netgear, Belkin, etc., it's a VERY capable device and I highly suggest it for being super compatible with Windows 10, but also with my MacBook Pro (running Catalina). It shows up under Network as "USB 10/100/1000 LAN". It immediately showed up and gave me a DHCP IP from my router. It just works.

I needed a longer distance run than a USB cable could provide to connect a laser engraver to by computer. The ethernet port was already occupied with the internet connection, and this adapter instantly solved the problem.
