Perfect solution
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's just plug in and use. We turned off our WiFi, due to some health symptoms I had experienced, and changed our internet connections to the ethernet cables + adapters to our chromebooks, We have 3 adapters and the 3 lengths of cables (15', 25', and 50'), and these work great wherever we are in our home. I also think my usage speed has improved, though hubs has experienced Zoom lagging. (Though that may have more to do with our DSL service rather than the ethernet connections from our router to our chromebooks.)

Perfect for laptops without ethernet port
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Simple straightforward USB 3.0 (Means can keep up with gigabit lan speed) network dongle. Works with 10/100/1000 network speeds. Best part is, it's tiny and can fit in a itty bitty pocket if you are not using it. Important: Install required a CD so hope you have a CDdisk drive on your computer or you will have to find the drivers over the internet and install them that way.

Works great with Windows 10
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Package said its for a Mac, but it works fine under Windows 10 Home. Just plugged it in and it worked. Appears to be as fast as using a built in 1 Gbit port. Had it for about a month and have had no issues.

Must have dongle for an Ethernet cable
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Of course my Mac doesn't have an Ethernet port and I need the cable so I can do my work (routers are sometimes unreliable). I bought this same dongle from RadioShack and frys electronics from other brands, only to find out the drivers were known to cause malfunctions in the computer, I've now used this one for two months now with nothing but good things to say. I mean I even get internet speeds higher than I pay for with one of these and a cat/6 cable also from insignia. Well done Bestbuy.

A great plug'n'play solution
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Problem: the laptop loses wifi connection every few minutes whenever you are in a meeting. Solution: buy an adapter so you can connect to the ethernet cable. The Insignia USB 30-to-Gigabit Ethernet Adaptor was a quick buy, not too expensive, and worked with no problems. Eventually, I checked the instructions and found that I could have downloaded a driver...but it wasn't needed for my situation.

Gets me connected faster
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a mid 2014 MacBook Pro and it did not have the ability to connect directly to the router. With this device I am able to use my ethernet connection and get connected directly to the box giving me much faster speeds. My only downside to the whole thing is it uses up one of my USB ports but that has nothing to do with this piece. The piece itself works great and gives me wonderful results. I am very happy with this.

Does not work with the Nintendo Switch.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I originally bought this adapter for my Nintendo Switch. I had forgotten mine at home and needed one in a pinch. A BestBuy was right around the corner, so I picked this one up. It did not work with my Nintendo Switch. I thought it was the adapter at first, but when I tested it on my Microsoft Surface Pro 3, it worked just fine. Other Gigabit LAN adapters work just fine with the Nintendo Switch, just not this one for some reason. Something to keep in mind.

Does what it is supposed to
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not much to say. Worked without any problems on a 2014 Macbook Pro Retina. Detected automatically, works flawlessly. Vast speed improvement over standard USB2 dongle, and does not burn a DisplayPort port. GigE compatible with everything I tried using it on, including back-to-back. Price was great, too. (Nice to have a non-Belkin choice - everything Belkin I have ever bought failed or was returned.)

Does what's expected well
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works great. Got this on a deal of the day for $10 after I bought "Insignia - USB to Ethernet Adapter - White" (SKU 6418345) two days earlier for twice the price. I'm not sure, but it might get a little warm with use. I'll have to test it out a little more to know for sure.

Great product
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nowadays all the meetings are online. You cannot always rely on WiFi. Connecting your laptop with an Ethernet connection will help to attend the meeting without any interruption. It is USB A to Ethernet connector . It is a must have accessory for those who have laptops without Ethernet port.

Works perfectly
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted the clean direct speed of a wired connection to my internet when at home. The WiFi signal works well but can be spotty and slow in my apartment building. Interference within the building and other people's connections make this a less than clean connect environment. This adapter did the trick and is easy to use.

works as described
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This purchase was for my son going to college to use in the event the wireless internet goes down in the dorm. His new laptop does not have an ethernet port so this was a great option. He had to use it once during summer session and the dongle performed as described. He also used it at home to test it and it worked there, as well.

||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this and a couple of Motorola moca adapters to fix the lag with all my teleconferences on Microsoft Teams. Best solution, my video is best amongst my teammmates and I can now work 10x faster. It’s a win! Plug it in and you are good to go (same so true of the moca adapters!)!!!

USB 3.0 interface or dongle to go hard wire
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The HP lap top is so slim now that you have to buy an interface or dongle to go hard wire. The speeds are faster yet, sometimes you need to go hard wire only because the routers sometime are not wireless at some locations.you also have to go USB to attach a CD drive or another hard drive.

Excellent price, excellent performance
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a tablet that the docking station quit working after an MS update. This device worked flawlessly to save me from connectivity issues. The only drawback is the device heats up with use. Using it nonstop for a little over a month with no issues

Excellent performance!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First time purchase. Worked perfectly! Had an issue with my internet speed. The only way I could truly test speed was to use ether net connection directly from the modem to the computer. In order to do so, I needed this adapter. Worked the first time and verified the speed for which I am paying.
