Brought this as a spare adapter. I use Ethernet adapters regularly for my work communicating to various devices to configure them and run reports. Being USB 3.0 this has become my main adapter since my other adapter is USB 2.0. Good product!

I purchased the Insignia USB 3.0 Ethernet Adapter to use with my new Lenova Yoga laptop. It connected easily in the USB port. I am very pleased with it! I have been using it with my laptop for two months and it has worked perfectly.

Bought to connect to my router - works great! Super fast shipping works out of the box without any software updates. Second one I've bought - the first one was snagged by a family member.

More reasonably priced than its Microsoft counterpart, the Insignia works effortlessly and with full compatibility with all PC computers where the need for a ethernet connection is mandated.

We needed an ethernet connection for my daughters Chrome book 15 OS. Literally plugged this into the USB and the cable and it automatically recognized it as an ethernet connection. Works flawlessly!

Small size and easy to install makes the interface ideal for connecting to lab equipment for streaming lots of data. I plugged it in and my PC found the drivers right away. Just plugged in my Ethernet cable and I was taking data. The price is right too.

I bought a new laptop and I wasn't getting the speeds I wanted. So I picked this adapter up and threw down an ethernet cable. Gave me my 100 mpbs I pay for via my internet provider. Make sure your device has a 3.0 usb. Its farely new and allows for way faster speeds.

Built in ethernet port on mac mini went bad so I purchased this to have a wired connection. Plug n play. Works great with solid connectivity and speed. A bit pricey for what it is.

It doesnt get any simpler. Plug and play! You need to test internet speeds hardwired but your laptop doesnt have an ethernet port? This is what you are looking for, just be sure to plug it into the USB 3.0 port.

After two months of using this adapter, it seems to work a-ok. I bought this after my desktop's built-in ethernet jack bit the dust. Bought this one since it was the cheapest at the store. For some odd reason, mine came in a box that claimed that this unit was capable of 10Gbps. I do need to note that I purchased an open box unit for the reduced price, so maybe it just got put in the incorrect box. I don't have the hardware to test whether or not it is capable of the 'advertised' speed. I didn't use the driver CD to install the drivers, I just downloaded them from the internet beforehand. They are posted on the Insignia site for the product, very convenient (driver zip has Windows/Mac/Linux drivers in it).
Aside from the iffy marketing on the box, this product gets two thumbs up from me.

Lifesaver for spotty wifi

Like a lot of people, I started working from home in March. At the time I discovered my laptop has wacky wifi hiccups regularly. I also wasn't getting the bandwidth over wifi that I needed for most zoom/video. Since my Surface Book doesn't have a ethernet plug, I ordered this adapter and WOW it helps a lot. I now don't drop off of video and my connection stays consistent.
It does take up one of the two USBs on my laptop but it is worth it to have consistently faster internet.
Earlier in the summer I also upgraded my home internet speed and I was finally able to use the promised speeds of this adapter. I'm very satisfied with this purchase!

Got this for daughter's MacBook Air when she went to college. Dorms have wireless but rooms also have ethernet, which is always better choice for speed. Product was very easy to use - just plug and play and voila!

Needed an ethernet adapter on short notice for an exam and Best Buy had this perfect solution on hand for an okay price. The box gets a bit warm with long bouts of use, so be careful with that.

This is a great and affordable way to add an Ethernet adapter to a slim laptop like an Apple Air. Ethernet connections are so much faster than WiFi, especially when the WiFi speeds are slow at places like hotels.

Simple product, simple review. If your PC doesn't have an ethernet port, this 3.0 USB adapter works great. You can even use with a USB-to-USBC adapter and plug directly into an Android phone (ie. Samsung Galaxy/Note/etc) and have a wired connection. Yes, the phone recognizes the data connection as wired and not wifi which is cool for checking wired network speeds or other tasks. Lights on the ethernet dongle show that data is being transmitted. Make sure your ethernet adapter is Gigabit (which this one is). Great product at a great Insignia price.

I got an open box version that didn't have the driver CD, but it was easy to download the driver from the website and get it installed. Once the driver was installed I plugged it in and it worked well - no problems!

Lightning strike burned ethernet port on computer. So I purchased this as a work around and for a home computer I really cannot tell much difference in speed or performance. Did a speed test and it came out good. Easy to install.
