I bought a flash drive (128-G), and an adapter (USB to Ethernet). Both were for USB-3.0 which I wanted to test on my computer on the USB-2.0 port. The Geek Squad person (CHRIS) was EXTREMELY helpful by going to get units of both devices in both USB-3.0 and USB-2.0 form. We tried the USB-3.0 devices and both worked. We were able to pay for both devices at the Geek Squad counter (no need to go through regular check-out). Chris returned the unopened devices to their display places in the store. I had to admit that Chris did all the things I would have done myself. It couldn’t have been any easier. By the way, I am currently using both devices regularly and have not had any problems. Chris is at the Columbia, MD store.

I purchased this Ethernet Adapter for use with a Laptop that did not have a built in Ethernet connection. The adapter installed without any problems on a laptop running Windows 10. It works as advertised.

This is a reliable product that says USB 3.0 but I used it for several months on a 2.0 USB slot, and it worked great there too. I have it in a 3.0 connection now, but I don't notice the difference. Perhaps my network traffic is just not the heavy. The motherboard on a [brand name I like, so I won't mention the brand] included the ethernet connection. When that broke, I thought I was going to have to replace the whole computer, but the Geek squad guys pointed me to this product. It was inexpensive and worked great from the moment I plugged it in.

Bought this to attach to an Acer Chromebook 14. It does the job. At first I thought something was wrong with it, since it has super aggressive power saving. That is, when it can’t get a PHY layer connection, the whole thing shuts off and de-registers from USB. I found out the issue was actually my switch which had a bad port, not the adaptor - but other adaptors will stay on with an intermittent connection. This won’t. So, keep in mind that this probably isn’t appropriate for something like a wake-on-lan remote application (although it may be smart enough to turn on in such a situation.) But if you have a standard solid Ethernet connection, it’s just fine.

I got this to use with a linux computer that doesn't have built in ethernet. Uses a Realtek 8153 USB 3.0 compatible gigabit chipset. Have had no problems with it and works as expected.

I purchased this item to secure an Ethernet connection during a server upgrade. It worked as expected directly out of the box. It was instantly recognized. No additional drivers needed

I never noticed with my laptop being slim that I didn't have an ethernet port. I needed the port because I was in a spot where WiFi was not available intermittently. This was such a lifesaver. I'm definitely hanging on to this just in case.

Easy setup. Internet is strong the only downside is it can pull out of the USB port and then the internet cuts out

I purchased this item for my MacBook Air, and after installing the drivers the device performed exactly as advertised! Would definitely recommend this to anyone who needs a Ethernet port!

Easy install and no bothersome card to insert into desktop. Also works well as an external network dongle for MacBooks that no longer have integrated non-WiFi connections.

The Ethernet port on my PC failed, i installed this USB Ethernet adapter and was pleased with the result. Faster speeds and has worked perfectly for over 3 weeks.

Works great for Macbooks and Windows OS Laptops. I would highly recommend if you need an ethernet port for you laptop, truly is a plug and play device.

It is easy to use and works. Speed test are the same my other laptop with built in LAN.

Bought this while on vacation. My wife's Surface II Pro needed to download an update, but the update was for the wireless adapter! Since we were in an Hotel, we needed to get a wired connection to the Hotel Internet service. The Best Buy suggested an Ethernet to USB Adapter might work, if we had a way to install the software driver for the USB to Ethernet dongle. I took a chance and bought this. Surprise! My wife's Surface Pro II already had the driver for this device. It worked perfect right out of the box. No downloads, no nothing, and we had a connection. My wife updated her Surface and was back in action within minutes. This device saved us a bunch of trouble!

This ended up being a life saver for my Lenovo Laptop that did not have the Ethernet port. It was easy to load the drivers and configure. Great price - easy to use.

This part is great at home and on the road when I bought my new laptop it did not have hard wire hook up so this part dose wonders, also the speed is just fine at 3.0 !!

This is a great adaptor if you don’t have a Ethernet port on you laptop to be able to hardwire your internet. Didn’t seem to decrease my speed any.

The product works great and is compatible with an apple laptop. The product is also very easy to use and doesn't require you to download anything onto your computer.

WiFi adapter went bad on a chromebook used this device to connect to Ethernet and was able to continue to work. Lifesaver
