Ethernet adapter works great

purchased for my son to use at college

The Ethernet connection is to get better wyfy and really is a must have in the dorm. i got him this adapter that plugs into his USB port and the Ethernet cable that looks like a phone jack plugs into the other side. it works perfect and now he is happy to get better reception in the dorm. and i am happy he is no longer complaining about the wyfy.

I’m adverse to wireless connectivity for my computers. Not wanting to buy another laptop just to get a port, I tried this. Works as expected. I had to download the recommended driver. I haven’t checked speeds, no desire to because I’m not noticing a slow down. If it’s slower, I can’t see it. This $25 saved me some bucks, yay! :-)

Handy when you need wired eithernet

Radio waves, apparently, aren't fond of trying to penetrate multiple plaster walls.... Based on another review, I immediately loaded the drivers. Plugged in an ethernet cable and plugged the adapter into the remote PC. Worked right off the bat and haven't had a drop since. All I've got is cabling laying around on the hallway floor.
