I needed this to get Ethernet on my MacBook. Worked great and got super fast speed.

I got this adapter because I stumbled upon an issue where my Mac was not compatible with the driver for the Ethernet Adapter I was using. This is a driverless Ethernet adapter, which means I didn’t have to download any kind of software to get it running; I simply plugged it in and it started working. The i also get about 100MBPS more than usual.

Super easy to use. Plugged and connected my son's Switch to wired internet connection with no issues. I've also used it to plug my laptop to wired internet connection for large file downloads (my laptop does not come with a Ethernet Port) without having to download any program.

My son has a thin HP laptop which does not have an Ethernet port, and the wireless in his dorm room is unreliable. The cable ensures he can stay connected when he’s in his dorm room. There are two versions, so make sure you know if you need USB 3.0 or 2.0. Insignia is a good brand so you’ll be happy with this purchase.

And this works perfect with no issues, and you save about 20 bucks compared to the Apple product

I bought both this one (cheaper) and the J5create (more expensive and more durable) but I am very happy with the adapter it is smaller than the others which is nice for storage and desktop clutter. It works exactly the same with no difference in performance or functionality. If I need more I will go for this option just for the extra savings and not be worried about it flaking out.

It performed totally as advertised and expected and did not require any special expertise to use.

I carry this with an old Chromebook when I travel. It has often saved the day when Airbnb WiFi is slow or password doesn't work. Takes no space and requires no setup. I have had pretty good luck with the Insignia brand on previous purchases. The Ethernet speed is always several times that of the typical WiFi I encounter.

Not much to say here other than this little guy does the job it's meant to do, and it's doing it well so far. Drivers are built-in to Windows, so I can attest to how easy it is to use on Windows - plug it in, give it a moment to install, and it's ready to go. It does come with a driver CD and Mac drivers are available to download from the Insignia support site if you need those.

I'm new at using this gadget but it has worked so well for me. I work from home and the computer I bought was missing something I needed so I was told I needed this gadget. See Im old school and do not know much about electronics but Im learning. So far it has been working very well for me no problems at all.

I needed a network connection quick to test whether an on-board nic was bad (or going bad) and we we're close to a Best Buy store. We stopped in and picked up this USB adapter and it worked very well. It allowed us to then have a technician remote in and diagnose the on-board nic and get us back up and running properly. Now we have a USB nic for whenever a connection is needed.

Does exactly what it is supposed to do. Lightweight. Tight USB fit. Perfect RJ port snap-in. No extra confusing driver or software installations. It installs and works great, straight out of the gate. I have a small Dell chromebook with 3.0 USB ports. Connects me to multiple different items, never any problems. Insignia has always been always trusted go-to for me. I highly recommend this adapter.

Although Best Buy originally messed up my order, I was finally able to receive the right product and it is excellent! I have struggled with poor internet connection for who knows how long, and this is a perfect adapter to get my Ethernet cable connected to my MacBook Air. Albeit a little expensive, very happy with my purchase,

Bought this for a work lenovo yoga laptop that wouldn't stay connected to the wifi and this works like a charm, easy to use too!

The device is simple enough to just plug in and easily connect to the internet. At times my router Wifi signal drops unexpectedly and when I'm working on my laptop, it's frustrating specially if I'm in the middle of something important. Having this Ethernet adapter on standby for me to quickly plug it in and once again I'm easily connected to the internet. It's a nice to have and it's low cost.

I needed a specific application, where I dual-homed a work computer. It's impossible to find NIC cards except online or at specific computer retailers (remember CompUSA or PC Club?). So I found a few of these at my local Best Buy, and they worked right out of the box. If you have a motherboard-based NIC fail on you, go get one of these!
