Since MacBook Pros do not come with direct connect ports, you need adapters in order to connect accessories. This is a good all-purpose adapter with a better price value than the Apple branded item.

This adapter was very useful for my MacBook Pro since is does not have any ports for usb or hdmi. This can be used to charge your phone on your laptop and stream movies to your tv using an hdmi cord. It was a good buy.

This is a great all around dongle for the new Macbook pro. I do have a case on my laptop, so it is nice that the adapter is just a line, instead of other adapters where they need both usb c ports to connect.

Great product to go along with my new MacBook. All ports on the adapter work great and you can still charge while using the adapter! Plus it was cheaper than the alternative adapters happy with this purchase I would definitely recommend it to others!

My daughter had cracked her MacBook screen during SIP and needed to get it fixed quick. She needed it for school to take her exams. The Apple stores were closed and the Apple approved service centers weren’t able to make the repairs in a day (she still needed it for classes - that were Zoom meetings). So we got this and it saved her! She didn’t have to be out of a computer for days and miss out on important classes. We were able to plug it in to a computer monitor and she was able to do practically everything she needed. School is now over and she will be taking her computer into The shop to be repaired but it was a lifesaver. It helped her finish out the school year strong!

I now have a laptop and a phone with Type C only. This adapter gives you a connect for your HDMI, your old USB items and also has a power port. In a few years it won't matter but right now this lets you connect your orphans.

Great adapter and way cheaper than the one Apple makes. I can charge my laptop, connect a second monitor, and transfer data all through one port. Would definitely recommend this to anyone with a new generation Macbook Pro.

Nice and compact. Well made. Since my MacBook has only a single USB-C port, I needed something reliable, compact and offering several different ports. This was cheaper than Apple dongles and matches the Apple white appearance for its dongles.

The in-store Apple representative told me that the Insignia brand is the only acceptable/capable manufacturer for Apple accessories. This multi-port adapter is half the price of the Apple branded adapter but works just as well.

This Insignia™ - USB Type-C to HDMI Multiport Adapter with Power Delivery - White does the same job as the Apple brand and cost $20 less. BB employee didn't try and push the Apple brand on me and said they were equal in quality.

Bought this to show video on my phone through a tv. Now when my tv doesnt have cable or wifi but I have cellular service I can plug this in and still watch tv. The tv is in a travel trailer and this situation happens quite often. It is just plug and play. There are some tv shows that wont allow it to play because of copywriting laws.

I got this to be able to connect my Macbook air to both the charger and HDMI at the same time. It also adds a USB 3 style port as well, so you have additional options.

I purchased this to use with my Samsung Chromebook to hook up to TV's with HDMI ports when traveling. I used it for the first time when I traveled last week. However, when I hooked it up to the TV, I was only able to hear the sound and not see the picture. I assumed it was because of the Apps but I did not have another device to hook up to see if it was the adapter. I will hook it up to my laptop and TV at home to make sure and I will give the results at a later time. I was able to use it to charge my tablet and phone while traveling.

This is perfect if your smart phone screen is completely broken and you want to make a back up. You can use this to hook it to up a HDMI TV, use a USB keyboard to make selections and hook it up to another smart phone. I was able to recover old messages from an old phone I thought I lost years ago. The only downside is that the logo makes it confusing which side is up. I would recommend this item.

I found really good use for this adapter on my MacBook Pro, to connect to a monitor via HDMI, still have a USB port and also have the ability to keep using the same port to charge it.

It's a nice cheap solution, worked with a Galaxy Note8 and with a MacBook. Also, it charged the other devices connected to the USB port using the MacBook's charger without the MacBook being plugged in.
