Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.For those of you looking to find out if this adapter will work for the Oculus Rift-S on your Nitro 5 gaming laptop, I can definitively tell you it does not. It is unrecognizable and there are no separate drivers to download. Currently about to try the USB 3.0 to DisplayPort adapter but I am thinking we are out of luck on these beast machines. Only 2 options for those who do not know. 1, more obvious, time to upgrade. And 2, purchase an external GPU (graphics card) for your laptop with a compatible port and that will for sure work.

Checked Nitro 5 gaming laptop spec,
the USB-C doesn’t have DP alt mode function,
so the NS-PCACD can’t work on this laptop.
You can recognize a device that supports this function, if the USB Type C port has the DP Alt Mode logo this adapter should work.
