Not my first choice but thankful Best Buy had something when I needed it

Didn't work. My wouldn't work. But everything turned out ok because I happened to be in the next town a got a refund from a Best Buy there.

Card compatibility includes three card slots for SD, microSD, and CF cards, along with the USB 3.1 interface for the fast transfer muti-card speeds. It is small (about the size of a small rectangular bare of hotel travel soap(and weighs less))and lightweight so that you can easily carry it with you. It is durable enough to withstand everyday use with a plastic housing. It is very affordable. It has three card slots that use multi-LUN technology and allows it to read and write multiple cards at the same time. It has worked well with every computer I have plugged it into. I dropped it the other day and it survived a six foot fall (onto carpeting). It is plug and play all the way. This is a card reader for multiple card format users that need SD, MicroSD and CF card reading capability. If you need XQD or other card formats is would behoove you to explore further. I have had a lot of good service from Insignia devices over the years. Durable, Light and functional. A great multi-card reader.

The unit was poorly built, overpriced and didn’t work properly. I tried it on two separate units with no success. I ended up returning it and going with a less expensive Anker unit on Amazon at half the cost. I would not recommend this unit to anyone.

So far so good. We have several Insignia products in our home ranging from TV's, smaller devices and many accessories like this that are of nice quality at a very reasonable price. This has worked well. I have tested it on several micro SD cards from the cameras in our vehicles and also from cards from our cell phones connected to a couple different windows computers. One being a desktop and one being a tablet type. Loading speeds were fast and there are no issues with the computers seeing it or connection errors. It's easily portable but could also logically remain plugged in sitting on a desktop. You need one of these especially nowadays when it's so much easier to just plug a card into these instead of hoping for a great internet connection or waiting and hoping the computer can find the right drivers for your device and such. It's a simple and it just works type device. It's plastic but that makes it light weight and anything more robust would not be necessary on something this small. I would certainly recommend it as well as many other Insignia products.

Dont waste your $ on this crap. Super slow transfers. I could'nt return it.

This little thing is great. This device is a necessity these days considering most laptops these days are getting rid of card readers or sometimes if they offer a card reader it's only a micro SD card reader. Inside the box you get: The card reader USB type C to type C cable A USB type C to A adapter The device has Micro SD, Regular sized SD card and Compact flash slots. My 2 computers a MacBook Air M2 and a gaming Desktop both don't have card readers but both have USB type C ports. Also I tried using this with my Google Pixel 7 Pro since it does have a USB type C port. I also have a Go pro and a Canon camera as well which uses Micro SD card and a regular one. Using this is a breeze and simple just plug in the card into the slot and plug it into your computer and it works you can see all the files on the card you're trying to transfer your data. I even used this on my phone and transferred a few photos to my phone easily. My only gripe with this device is it uses USB 2.0 standards with 5 gigbits speed vs the faster USB 3 which is faster or even USB 4.

It probably seems as though it would be difficult to write much of a review about a card reader, but not this time. There is a lot of good to say about the Insignia Memory Card Reader (MultiLun SD4.0 MicroSD UHSII USBC USBA). It has one slot each for SD, micro-SD, and Compact Flash (CF). First, the construction quality appears to be very solid and durable...no flimsiness here. It's extremely lightweight, which is a big plus as far as I'm concerned, as it adds to its portability. Being so portable (especially attractive is it very small footprint) is important if using with a GoPro, vlogging device, or other out-in-the-field device. One other thing I like about the design is that there are little rubber tabs on the bottom of the card reader that keep it from sliding around when using it on a desktop. The Insignia card reader comes with a very generous 1-meter (3.28 feet) cable, a USB to USB-C adapter (Thank you Insignia for that great little bonus!!), and a quick-start guide. The real magic of the card reader is its multi-LUN capabilities. This allows the card reader to read/write more than one memory card simultaneously. Its easy to see how this is a big plus when time is important. If I was going to say anything "negative" about the Insignia card reader, it would be this: Although there are three different types of slots, I would like to have seen at least two each for the SD and micro-SD cards. There are many times when I have had to go home and copy memory cards for my friends who have been with me out in the field and needed a copy of the audio and/or video footage. If there were two slots each, this could be done out in the field. Another thing I would have liked to seen is a more detailed user manual rather than simply a quick-start guide. Especially considering the multi-LUN capabilities. Who knows, this might be common knowledge now, but for those who don't know... All in all the Insignia MultiLun SD4.0 MicroSD UHSII USBC USBA Card Reader (that's a mouthful) is the perfect addition to your tech kit. Its perfect for GoPro users, vloggers, photographers, and anyone else who has a need for reading/copying portable storage cards. I would highly recommend this card reader.

This is one of those devices that you never really know you need until you have it. I found probably about a dozen or so memory cards laying in my desk and had no clue what was on them. This works with micro-sd, SD and CF (compact flash) memory cards. The latter is about the slowest option, but were more common on some of the older, more expensive cameras. I have an Olympus E300 SLR that I cant seem to part with although there are better options on the market and this worked great with those CF cards. Where this thing really shines for my personal use is that it has a USB-C connection. I connected this to my iPad Pro, went to the files folder and the drive showed up with all of the photos that were on the SD card I had inserted. This option cant be understated for me because I use my mobile devices significantly more than my desktop or even laptop and with the upcoming release of the new iPhone, I will get even more use out of this. I am by no means a professional photographer, but I do like taking photos at family events and I have even begun to use my drone more frequently than I have in the past so this is a great utility for someone like me. If your usage is anything like mine, this will be a great accessory for you.

I have enjoyed using this Insignia SD 4.0 card reader so far, it has made transfering photos for editing easier and quicker. I compared the import speed of my roughly 5 year old card reader made by a different brand, and this Insignia was definitely faster. I love that it has several different types of memory card slot options because I used different types of cards depending on the devices I use and having the options there is great. The cord it came with was an excellent length, and I'm glad it comes with an adapter of USB to USB-C as my older desktop does not have a USB-C port so the versatility of this device is great. The card reader is also a conveniently small size as well. It is flat enough and small enough that it can easily live in a backpack or camera bag and not take up much space at all. And also small enough to permanently live on a desktop area. Personally, I have mine mounted to the base of my monitor via velcro and it is perfect. It does not move around while putting a card in or removing it, and it is aesthetically pleasing on my desktop. Overall I have been impressed with this card reader and would recommend it to anyone in the market for one.

A simple device, but also important. For starters, has SD Card, micro SD Card, and CF Card slots. But, the SD card slots are UHS-II. Most SD card readers are not UHS-II, which usually is ok, because most SD cards aren't UHS-II either. But, some newer devices, such as mirrorless SLR cameras DO support UHS-II cards, which allows burst photography. But, with this card reader, it can now also read at the dramatically higher speeds afforded by the class-2 UHS spec. This means previewing photos is faster, downloading them to your computer is faster, and copying and other file operations are faster. And not just a little faster. A LOT faster. This thing is a game-changer for anyone that has these faster SD cards. The other thing that I like about this, is that I was able to use the microSD and standard SD card slots at the same time, and both of them showed up on my computer. This is a really nice feature to have, because sometimes I do have multiple cards I'm using at once, or want to transfer between cards, but most readers only have one card slot, or only allow one to be used at a time. This allows both to be used. I love it. Unfortunately, I don't have any CF cards, so wasn't able to test that functionality.
