This keypad’s purpose is to supplement a couple of small laptops (smaller than 14 inch screens) that lack a numeric keypad. If you’ve ever had to enter even a fair amount of numbers into a document or spreadsheet, you’ll appreciate having a keypad. I actually have another keypad, but it has a PS/2 connector, and PS/2 to USB adapters are hard to find and probably not worth the cost. The Insignia keypad simply plugs into a USB port and is usable right away. However, if you start inputting numbers and nothing shows on your laptop screen, then you didn’t turn on the “Num Lock” button (indicated by a light on the keypad).

The keys have a nice soft feel under your fingers and it’s small and compact so it doesn’t take up a ton of desk space. Super easy to install and works great.

For the price this is a great and amazing addition to your laptop if you do not have a number pad. I do data entry and this is a HUGE life saver. It cuts my time down by a lot. I would defiantly repurchase if needed.

I used this to connect to my Microsoft Surface Pro tablet. This was very handy to have and made inputting spreadsheet numbers really fast. It would have took a very long time if I had input using the standard keyboard.

I own a iMac and I was looking for keyboard with the numerical pad on it but they were all out of my budget but I found this and this makes my life so much easier especially when I’m doing my spreadsheets

Smaller laptops do not have a numeric keypad so this is a good option for those times that you need one. Cheap enough to replace if it breaks.

This has worked out really well for my husbands pipe building software. He has to enter lots of numbers and not having 10key on his laptop can be a pain.

This numeric keypad works well for us and allowed us to keep the size of the computer to a minimum while allowing us to keep the speed of our calculations. Great service for the minimal investment. Many thanks.

As my new 13.3" notebook has no keypad, this is essential for data entry in spreadsheets. Very good key feel and travel. Accurate data entry. High quality.

Insignia™ - USB Keypad - Black it works perfectly. can not stand to have to use keyboard number keys. It's so much easier to have a 10-key pad.

I don't know how I did without this. My laptop is a smaller size so doesn't have the 10-key part of the keyboard, and I do a lot of number-punching. Very nice to have another backspace close at hand, it is recognized instantly by the computer, and num lock remembers where it was left - so you don't have to keep turning it on after unplugging and replugging it back in. Good tactile response on the keys too, not spongey or hard to press.

I like that its portable. The cable gets in the way sometimes, wish I could've gotten a bluetooth one.

I like this product for its size, don’t have to be at a desk or table. Works well with MacBook

Wanting to have a small laptop, I purchased one without a number keypad, knowing that I could buy this at a reasonable price and use it for entry into Excel. It's great for entering numbers quickly and efficiently! Includes all the functionality needed for spreadsheet data entry. The numbers are arranged in a standard fashion.

Love this little guy. My new laptop doesn’t have a numeric keypad, and as a CFO I crunch a lot of numbers. This has been a godsend and has worked perfectly. Even running it through my Type-C docking station, response time is great and the feel of the keys is just right. I have one at home and one at the office.
