Purchased this at the beginning of the pandemic as all workers were sent home to work from home. Talking through the computer just wasn’t quality. This microphone was perfect. Just set it up middle of desk in front of monitor, quality of sound to others increased 100%. No more repeating, love it

Ordered this for casual use, Unit arrived when promised. Plugged it in, and Windows 10 immediately recognized it. Took a few minutes to set it up with Windows Speech Recognition, then went to dinner. Later, when I went to use the mic, I get a notification about a power surge on a USB port, and my computer locked up. I had to do a hard reboot. Upon reboot, the mic was not recognized, and the light did not illuminate. I unplugged it from the computer and tried it on another computer. Not recognized there, either. As I was putting it back into the box with the intention of returning it, i tried another USB A to micro USB cable, and the mic worked again. The cable that shipped with the mic was defective. I went online and chatted with Best Buy support, and the rep suggested I take it to a Best Buy store to get the cable swapped; the only problem is that my nearest Best Buy is an hour drive away, and that is a long trip for a cable. The rep then offered me a 10% refund, which I accepted...it's better than driving for an hour and wasting gas for an inexpensive cable. I am using the second cable now. I like the mic, but I had to deduct a few stars because of the defective cable.

I have a 922 Logi and I found the built in Mic lacking. I bought this and for the price is great. It's not a yeti, but the Yeti isn't under $50. It had good deep voice recording. I recommend using a boom mic holder or a tri pod holder off desk because it will pick up every key stroke tap tap tap or boom! Marks of a decent microphone!

Easy setup and great sound, would highly recommend to anyone using Zoom.

This is a perfect mic for video conferencing such as Zoom which I am currently using it for. The on board mic on my Surface was ok but still sounded a little tinny and boxed in. This mic is very clear and transparent. How my voice actually sounds according to others on the other side of the video conference. Great price for what it does.

I've had the Samson Satellite (Owned twice and both died a little over a year) Blue Yeti (Died a little over a year got the Satellite which has better mic quality) Elgato Wave 3 (Way more than the Blue Yeti and Satellite, but not a big difference in sound quality) I use my mics for OBS and gaming. All my mics have ever done is sit on a mic arm on my gaming desk and record. Out of all those mics I've had, I used this Insignia as a back up/ secondary and since it's cheaper, I am more rough with it (minor drops). It has never died and has quality just shy of the Blue Yeti. For the price and the longevity of the item, you cannot go wrong. Sure it doesn't have monitoring or an XLR for an instrument, but it WORKS. That's what I need.

No o e wl mistake you for a broadcastwr but it works just fine. Price is great. I probably would have spent a little more for a bettsr looki gike, but for thw price, I am happy with it. Budget friendly and looks that could kill.... Ok... No killer looks here. But looks good and does wbat it's supposed to do.

The mic on my office issued laptop did not cut it. I got this insignia mic and it made a huge difference on my Team/Zoom calls with clients. If you are looking for an inexpensive but quality mic, you could give this a try. It works great for me.

This microphone is a huge step up from any internal laptop mic or external webcam mic. It's good enough for even very casual podcasting or voice recording applications. For what it does, it's a good value. The audio quality certainly isn't professional-level - but that's not to be expected for a $40 mic.

I bought this to use as a microphone on my PS4 for party chat so I can have my party chat output to my "TV" for streaming purposes. I have it set off to the side of my desk and it picks my voice up clearly for those I'm gaming with without needing to have it right in front of me. Overall, it's been great for what I needed it for.

I use this for my online violin lessons. Having good audio pickup is important, and this mic does the job perfectly. Sinple setup, just plug in and go.

This microphone is easy to use right out of the box. The sound quality is decent for the price. I use it for work but it’s a great beginner mic for all uses.
