Purchased this product with the help of an associate thinking it would let me run both monitors at the same time, but it does not, but I can switch back and forth so it's a 4 and I didn't want to have to drive over and return it.

Exactly what we needed to set up DVD to our Smart TV,

I brought my laptop into Best Buy and asked what I needed for dual screens. I wanted to be able to use my laptop monitor and my bigger monitor. I was told that I needed this item. I plugged it in and the 2 additional HDMI cords to my monitor. While it did work some of the time, my laptop kept making the dinging noise that meant it wasn't working. It turns out I did NOT need this $50 item; I just needed to connect an HDMI cord from my laptop to the screen and change the settings on my laptop to extend the screen. So be cautious about what you are told you need from the Best Buy associates who act as though they're SOOOO BUSY they can only grab this quickly, throw it at you and tell you that you need it. Even after you've schlepped your laptop in and taken pictures of the connections needed on your monitor. You Do NOT need this item, you need a $5 HDMI cord.

Works exactly as described. Actually works better than a higher priced item that 'reported' to have more features.

Bought this to use 2 external monitors on my laptop. I could not figure out how to get the sound to work, as the laptop was expecting a 'speaker' in the USB port. Maybe it just does not comply with my laptop in some way ???

Doesn't work reliably with Linux or MacOS X, but had okay results with Windows-- 1080p is the highest resolution I'd rely on it to work reliably with, though.

It works as promised, but the problem when you have it connected to a screen has a latency of more than 1-3 seconds (it is more noticeable in a video game) I recommend that you use it on a screen that is not your primary.

Not sure that it’s the best available but worked out of the box where others I’ve seen required special drivers that were awful and brought systems to a crawl. This also has decent, not stellar, display quality.

This is a good product. However, if you have two 4K monitors to connect to your computer, you will see in 4K in only one of them because only one of the inputs on this hub is 4K, the other is 1080P.

My new home business computer was only equipped for one monitor. This adapter allowed me to use two monitors! My productivity has now been increased with more workspace to do my daily routines on! Excellent add-on to an inferior situation! Very happy with this purchase!
