This Insignia did the trick. The instructions were uber easy to follow and after a few clicks, my additional monitor was up and running. I am a happy gal.

Obviates the necessity of connecting monitor to VGA port on computer, which some computers do not now have. I previously used my computer's VGA port, and plug jiggled out frequently. This doesn't happen with the USB connection, and the image transfer from computer to monitor works perfectly.

Best buy to the rescue with this item. Super easy to set up and use. Works perfect for vga cable

I did not know which one to purchase, and asked the salesperson. He was very helpful and reminded me that if it was not the one that fit my need, I could return it. When I got home, I tried the connection to my Chromebook and was ecstatic to see that it fit and I would be able to use it in my class.

The instructions say windows should pickup the driver automatically but that is not true. I had to download the driver but that was not a big deal. Other than that this item is great and its a lot slimmer than previous models.
