I got mine which was open box and it was discounted which was a big plus. I think the only thing it would need for improvement is adding multiple outlets for SD cards and more USBs would be great.

I tested functionality by plugging mouse/keyboard dongle into the USB A side. The mouse and keyboard functions worked fine on my phone.

I haven't tested the speed capabilities yet, but it seems to do the job quickly. You can also connect it and watch any saved videos on a usb drive.

I plug this adapter into my Samsung Note and I can watch them all! I can even use the screen share feature on the phone to play the movies on most Samsung TVs

No issues or complaints and save $10 over Apple's brand. Would recommend for price and value.

This adapter did the trick. Less expensive than the Apple version and works just as well.
