I have needed to use this several times with my MacBook Pro. It works great and I have never had a problem with it. It does get pretty warm while using it, but so do all of the other brands that I have tried.

The ethernet adapter provides me with a faster and more reliable Internet connection. Extremely happy with this solution on MacBook Air devices. It’s easy to set up and has been extremely consistent with how it functions.

This item is great!!! My wife and Daughter are both working and online schooling from home because of the Covid-19. Wifi was not an option for what they needed to do all day without any interruptions from lagging. So i bought 2 of these and 2 ( 25 foot ethernet cords from Home Depot ) . I plugged the cords in the modem and these items into there computers and both are wired in separate and are getting lighting fast speeds now. Over 200 megabytes per second. They have worked great for over a month now with no problems.

This USB C to RJ45 works like a charm and required no drivers on my MacBook Pro. Where I work I need access to direct connection to the network and this device delivers. Much better than the two dock stations I have tried.

Great for MacBook Transfer

Hello, I bought this ethernet transfer cable adapter to transfer my old MacBook (2009) to a new Macbook Pro (2019). Trying to do the transfer over Wi-Fi proved to be useless and even after 24 hours there was no progression. Once I used this adapter and plugged in Ethernet cable between the two computers, the transfer was less than an hour. It works absolutely perfectly so if you're old Mac has any internet cable or you can buy an adapter for it, I would highly recommend this method of transfer. I could not be happier with this purchase. I used this adapter to plug into the new Macbook Pro since it only had two USB C ports.

essential to check internet speed

When you need to check the speed of your internet connection independent of your router you need an ethernet connection. As MacBooks have only a type c USB port, an adapter is needed for a direct connection to your modem.

Very easy to use. Compact nozzle and cord bends easy and not to thick so it doesn’t stick out. Connection worked with no programming or install to work. Click in and use.

Great adapter for CAT 5 access

Gives CAT 5 access to new laptops which only have USB A & C connectors. Absolutely need it when have a problem with wireless connection. This allows me to connect to internet to update wirerless drivers. Also, needed 50' to 100' of CAT 5 cable to connect from modem to laptop on desk. Could have used shorted cable and connected closer to modem, but wanted convenience of working on desk to resolve problem. Could also use if have unreliable WI-FI connection, or, only want to use the widest bandwidth available.

My new laptop didn't have an ethernet jack, so I got this to install Linux from a USB boot disk before WiFi was available. It worked like a champ and was way faster for most of the downloads.

Our MacBook Pro needed a RJ-45 Ethernet adapter and this works great! We use it daily, because sometimes our WiFi stops working in middle of downloading. This adapter is great! If you have a USB-C & need an adapter for your computer this is it! Yes, you could buy a hub, however, to carry that much data & HDMI & other ports... some would stop working. We have tried & it's a waste of $$$! Get this you will not be sorry! It's cool that it also has flashing lights so you know it's working!

Got us out of a bind

Our son has all his classes via ZOOM as the University is closed during COVID. Our router had died and we weren't able to get another for a few days. We decided to try this for his Mac Powerbook, so he could run an ethernet cable straight to our internet delivery point. It worked perfectly preventing him from missing any of his classes and eliminating undue stress. This will stay in our bag of tools in the event we loose our WiFi in the future.
