    Its a very sturdy case.. Bought a red one for my son.. The only thing that would have made it better was additional storage compartments for long trips.

    Plain and simple, the Nintendo 3DS XL didn't fit in this. I had high hopes to keep everything organized with this and was more than a bit disappointed.

    I have a regular 3DS and STILL had problems getting the darn thing to fit. After a bit of sliding and coaxing and shoving, it slipped in and, when I flipped the case, stayed rooted. I'd rec this, but add the sizing problem just in case! If you want something that'll work first try--keep looking. Otherwise, the case is fantastic and very sturdy! You can't play while the 3DS is in this case, but it's good for storage or for when you're moving!

    This looks nice, but beware, that it will not fit the "new" 3ds xl. Apparently, the "new" version is larger. Guess this is going back to best buy.

    Purchased this case to hold my "new" 3DS XL. The console doesn't fit in the case at all, you can force it into the slot but getting it out would be very difficult. Fits the original 3DS XL but the "new" is slightly bigger so it won't fit.

    Honestly, I got this as a dotd, it came in orange, which I hated, and was very hard to carry. There are no straps and it's not an easy thing to lug around. I didn't use it at all and gave it away because returning it seemed like too much of a hassle.
