Insignia has pretty good stuff for the price. I needed this because I drive for work and needed my maps where I could see them. Suction cup holds well to windshield. The joint where the arm meets the actual holder a little floppy, but I installed it so it almost sits on the dash. I have not tried the vent holder because it wont work with my suv.

Works great and very easy to use. No problem holding my phone.

I just became a Lyft driver and needed to purchase this ASAP. I wanted the option of mounting this to my vent and my windshield. Mounting it to my vent did not work out but it mounted to the windshield perfectly. I gave it 4 stars only because I could not mount it to both my vent and windshield. It was very easy to install.

I bought an iPhone 7 and added an Otter box cover. The combined weight and size are too much for most vehicle mounts. I purchased this model before and it lasted for about three years before it needed to be replaced from too much Arizona sun. The one drawback is that, when there is no phone in the holder, it rattles constantly. Very annoying.

The item is great quality I thought the suction woulf fail but not at all the suction is actually the ebst part of the item. Its so relible and the fact that i can adjust the placement is convenient for road trips for gps or for holding up for music of phone cald

I have owned this car mount in the past and it lasted me 3 years before I accidentally broke it. I love it, it's easy to install, it stays in place and it comes at a great price. I would keep repurchasing this car mount, I'm very satisfied with it.

I bought this as an open box item, so I got it for somewhere around 12 dollars. I thought it was going to fall apart like the last one, but it is really well made. It uses a suction cup with a pump button like one you would see if a cat burglar were scaling a skyscraper. That thing is not coming off the window. The arm itself is really sturdy stuff. I don't know what it is but it bends like a soft metal. The other end is a rubber grip that grabs a phone tight, but doesn't have to be champed each time once you adjust it to the right width. This is definitely the best phone holder I have seen.

The ONLY reason I didn't give a 5 star is because of the BOUNCING it does. Other models have a knob that you can turn to minimize the bouncing while you drive. This one doesn't but it was only $19.99 so I guess you get what you pay for.

Never a fan of the vent clip but nice to have the option of window or vent mounting in this price range. Mounted securely to my window and I like that you can adjust multiple ways to get the right view. It does shake a bit but not too bad so far. Can’t beat this unit for the price!

I have had this vehicle mount for a few weeks now and love it. I liked that it came with both a window mount and vent mount so you can decide where you want to put it in your vehicle. I chose to install it on my car vent and it was pretty simple to do. I like that it is easily positioned, has fold out stops on the bottom so your device doesn't fall through. The side "arms" have a foam lining so it is easy on your device and grips it as well. There is an easy release button on the bottom right to release your device and then you can just squeeze the side "arms" to place your device again. It has proven to be very helpful when I am driving and using my GPS on my phone or when I get a call I don't have to search for my phone or worry about missing a call. It is a great product and one of the less expensive mounts.

I brought this before and it's great if you need something to hold your phone. Reason why it doesn't get 5 stars is that it breaks easily. I put my phone day on it and the clip broke right off. I guess cheap plastic but other than that, it holds the phone in place where you need it to be.

I got this for my wife to use in her car. Not only does she use it in her car, she uses it on the kitchen counter when she is looking up and using recipes on her phone. When she watches tv on her phone too. Much easier than trying to hold in your hands. Very easy to use.

Got this mount for my 2014 Moto X. I do not use a phone case. Out of three or four mounts I tried at Best Buy, this one seemed to grab my phone best/with the least effort and was actually also the least expensive so I am satisfied with it. I use the suction cup mounted to my windshield, which also has been fine so far (about 4 weeks) and has not shown any loss of suction due to heat or vibrations/bumps. The mount does cover the volume buttons on my phone (on the side), which may annoy some users but has not been an issue for me since I connect my phone to the car via bluetooth if I want to use it for music/phone/GPS while driving. This way I can change the car volume instead. As someone who occasionally enjoys a fast turn, I can say the ball joint pivot of the mount seems adequately stationary when tightened, and this was important to me when choosing a mount. I imagine this mount could accommodate any current smartphone, potentially with the exception of a Galaxy Note or iPhone 6 Plus, but even those might be okay. In addition to gripping from the sides, the mount also has small fold-out ledges on the bottom, so it is unlikely a phone would fall out unless the side grips have poor contact with your phone and you hit a large bump. I will note two negatives I have found to this mount: 1) I have also used an iPhone 6 with a hard plastic rounded case, and while the mount still works, it does not grip this phone as well. 2) The release mechanism for the mount does have a cheap feel to it, and I am not sure how long it will last before some plastic part breaks. I have to select yes or no for whether I would recommend this to a friend, but really I would recommend it to a friend *depending on their phone* and would suggest if possible that they try it in store first.

its good for the price since it includes the window and the air vent option. The quality of the holder itself is not good. It is hard to get it to actually hold the position to secure the phone.

Mount was expandable and could the be compressed to fit cell phone. It came with 2 mounts, 1 for the vents and 1 for suction on the window. Window mount neck was adjustable to allow movement to different locations. I recommended this to a friend for an oversized cell phone.

I was looking for a vehicle cell phone holder and was not sure what would work. The Best Buy sales person, this particular model is what Uber drivers use, although I am not an Uber driver. It attaches/secured in two different manners, one is a suction cup to the windshield. The down side is that it can to some extent, obstruct your view, however, no where near as distracting as dealing with a phone call while holding your phone. The other manner is attaching to the fins on your HVAC. For my F-150 this definitely does not work because it flops back and forth. This device is somewhat bulky and heavy compared to other such devices however, the suction cup does secure the holder, even during bumpy driving conditions

This is a repeat purchase, once the same manufacturer, one another brand. This works well, easy to mount below the mirror and adjust for a non glare view without blocking visibility out of the window. This model has a bonus, a clip mount that goes on an air vent vane. The part that grabs the phone unclips to move it to the other mount It does block airflow but I must say I like this location better. As I had this brand before, I saved the phone mount. So, I have two locations to put my phone, helpful for guests or to hold an iPod. As the the phone holder, I prefer my older one to this one. The clamps on this one are fatter and, to me, more difficult to snap the phone in. I may not have given it enough of a chance though. I do recommend! Note though, the suction cups wear out and after two to three years need to be replaced, something I really don't mind.

I bought this for myself about a month ago and was pleased with it, so I bought another recently for a friend. At first, I used the vent clips, but found the window clip works best. The phone is in perfect view for map directions or pressing the answer call button. I've read that some have had issues with the suction cup and I believe this may be due to not using the lever after placing the device on the window. It will stay for a bit that way, but will fall without much error. I've had no issues with the suction cup (and I travel a few bumpy roads). Just be sure to at least click the lever twice and use the button (behind the lever) to release the suction, then peal the holder off the window.
