While it connected easily, I couldn’t get any signal to display. After some research, I found that this type of adapter may not work with all VGA devices since VGA is analog and HDMI is digital. It may require a converter rather than just a cable adapter. The build quality seems fine, but it just didn’t meet my needs.

The adapter worked without any issues for basic operation but there were noticeable wavy lines on the display when used for a 1080p screen. Lower resolutions seemed to resolve the issue if you don't need it for a standard 1080p panel.

However, it does have poor quality picture and sound, but I'm using it with my old VIZIO tv/monitor and my Windows 7 desktop computer. The video is not compatable with some of my old games.
