A good adapter but high priced

I used it to present an ultrasonic intsrument on a big screen i did find the cost a bit high. $40 was a bit high for a vga to HDMI adapter. Also you have to power it with its USB cable. Cable is very short so my instrument was almost on top my computer for power.

Picture quality is affected compared to direct HDMI, but that is to be expected. I would've liked the cables to the USB and VGA slots to be a little longer, but they reach okay. Good product.

The USB 1.1 on the Gateway motherboard actually powers this just fine. It also seems to allow proper aspect ratios by default, and I had a hard time finding an alternative anywhere else.
