Customers are saying

Customers express satisfaction with the Virtual Reality Viewer 2-Pack for its affordability, compatibility with various phone sizes, and overall functionality. Many customers find it to be a great value for the price, with some even calling it a "steal." The cardboard material used in its construction is also praised for its effectiveness despite its simplicity. However, some customers have concerns about its comfort, particularly the lack of a head strap and potential discomfort on the nose during use.

I got mine for $1 and it is well worth it. There is a button on the top to click on content with VR compatible interfaces on Chrome or other apps. I have fit both a Note and an iPhone in the device but sensitive buttons may activate while inside of the holder.

As other reviewers have said, this is a great way to introduce yourself to new technology. It was easy to put together and comfortable against the face. Others have suggested various fixes so I'll just add what wasn't in the few reviews I read. There's a button on the right side for selecting your choices once you've entered a site via your phone and settled it into the viewer. Didnt notice that from the write-up so it was a nice surprise. Pretty awesome. Took my own 360 at a park, choosing to record sound, and it had kids voices in the background to capture a great memory! Can only use it for short bursts and it bothers my eyes so although I now know what the technology has to offer and that I like it, I'd still have to buy a more expensive viewer to determine whether I could use it for a longer period of time. But for 3 bucks, this is a great purchase.

A nice novelty item. Could benefit from straps.

The cost of this item makes it great idea for an entry-level virtual reality accessory. This is an item that I could introduce to someone who was wanting to experience virtual reality for the first time, however the lack of straps to attach the device to the user's head ruins the experience because it keeps the user from being fully immersed in the virtual reality experience. I won't speak for the effects of virtual reality per se as it would be unfair to place any focus on that department; after all, this is a product review, and as such this review should focus on the product. To summarize this is a great product for a beginner in virtual reality, but the lack of straps leave much to be desired. In addition, there just isn't a lot of software out there in the virtual reality category unless one were to invest in the higher-end virtual reality premium device. I would only recommend this to a friend who wanted to try out virtual reality for the first time. Let me make that clear.

A good and inexpensive way to experience virtual reality. I've used this unit with my Samsung S9+ running YouTube VR, Google Daydream and Google Cardboard and it did a good job of delivering a decent VR experience given it's all made of heavy duty cardboard. You can use Google Cardboard Camera app to take photos in VR then view them using Google Cardboard VR viewer (all are free apps).

This is a great Budget VR device. It allows you to use Google Cardboard apps. This is something the much more expensive Google Daydream can't do. No strap included but not needed unless you plan on long TV/movie watching sessions. Recommend.

I bought this as a small purchase to see how I'd like to my phone as VR. Although I wasn't impressed it didn't hurt my wallet at all. BUT, I let my nephew use it and his mind was blown away. He got some much enjoyment from this small box it made it worth the money. I wasn't even concerned if it was damaged or not because it was so inexpensive.

I got this for myself out of curiosity. It’s really cool! Simple construction, fits my iPhone 6 Plus without a case but does bend some. It’s so inexpensive though it’s no big deal, just something fun to play with!

This is exactly what I was looking for. A co-worker had one and I tried a 360 application. Since I didnt want to spend more than $10, I stopped at Best Buy and bought this to take home and let the kids try. The VR thing is out of their system and we only spent $6. Works well for being cardboard. Holds the phone securely and everything looked great.

The lenses are a little blurry to me, its not that comfortable, no strap to hold it to your head, and it allows light to come in at the top and bottoms, but its a good item to try out VR games on your phone without forking over $100+ for a normal set of headgear. Cheap enough in fact that you can fix some of the problems yourself by low-tech methods and still be a tenth (or less!) of the cost of "standard" headgear. Hot gluing or taping some cloth can eliminate the areas where light seeps in, and a two foot long strip with Velcro could serve as a headband. Despite its inferior quality, its definitely worth the investment to try out the technology before committing to the higher price of full-fledged head gear.

The only thing you won't like about this is that there is no head strap. So what hold it to your face. These are so inexpensive and great for stocking stuffers and surprise kids gifts. Not for serious gamers - this is a novelty item. But I'm very happy with mine and the teens in my family who all got these are very happy with them too.

For kids this is a nice intro into VR. If they hate it you are not out much money. That's a good thing. If they like and you want to upgrade do so as you're not out much money with the test kit. It does give you a nice experience. Not near the Gear VR, but enjoyable. Get what you paid for and this delivers for the $.

For anyone who wants to play around with their phone’s VR capes, this was a perfect little purchase. I would say the only issue is that there’s no way to affix the device to your head (super large rubber band?) so you have to hold it to your face while in use. But for the price? Can’t be beaten.

For $5, this is definitely worth it. The device is easy to use; the range of apps available is mixed (not really a reflection on the product itself, but it does impact the quality of your engagement with the product). But I've found a few really great ones that make it more than worth what I paid for it.

Neat viewer that I got for a great price. Plan to use three in my classroom for small group “field trips” to distant places. VR type trips through google works well. The “button” registers most of the time, but remember that this was inexpensive and made of cardboard. Great value!
