A convenient kit
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This add on kit provides a nice wireless accessing and monitoring feature to your existing garage door. With this you don’t have to worry about forgetting to close your garage door when away from home. It also notifies you the real time status of your garage door as well. A must have kit for every garage door.

Decent Garage Door Controller
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This thing works good some of the time, but I do experience the connectivity issues others have found. I also get a “garage obstructed” error often when the door is closed (no obstructions). Probably needs a firmware upgrade or a better quality sensor for door movement, and dual band WiFi or Bluetooth connection through an AppleTV to help with the connectivity issues. Pricing would be better at $50 for the current level of technology.

Works perfectly with HomeKit
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Specifically was looking for something that works reliably with HomeKit and was cost affective. These worked out perfectly and installation was quite easy. Includes two different types of cables depending on what your current garage door uses and even a screw driver!. Very nice.

Amazing and Fast to hook up!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great product and it works perfectly with Apple Home kit! It took me about 15 minutes to hook up and get connected to home kit. You CAN'T GO WRONG BUYING THIS PRODUCT!! It will send a notice to your phone that it was opened if someone opens it besides you when your not home.

Easy to install and works as advertised
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was pleased with how easy it was to install this garage door controller. I had no trouble connecting it to my iPhone Home app and it works as advertised. I can even open and close my garage door using Siri on my Apple Watch.

Easy Install - Picky about Wifi
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a helpful little gadget. When I first installed the opener I could not get it to connect to wifi but that was because I was trying to connect to an extender. When we got that all figured out it is working fine. Homekit will sometimes take a moment to "update" but we've never been left out in the cold.

Works Great with HomeKit
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As part of my home automation I wanted to be able to control my garage door opener remotely via HomeKit without purchasing a new garage door opener. The insignia product works great with my existing garage door opener and integrates perfectly with HomeKit.

Good product, can be better though.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good product, but can be better. Easy set up, once figured out how to get it work. Set up process is a little confusing initially until you read the entire literature. Price is not bad for the product. It only works on 2.4ghz and not 5ghz. So if you want to use the product, you have to make sure your phone/tablet/device is connected on 2.4ghz wifi only. It does function well once set up which is all I wanted so I am happy with it.

Works great.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works perfectly. VERY easy to install. I believe that other reviewers have weak WiFi signal for their devices to disconnect. So far, I’ve had zero issues with mine. This is a fraction of the price of others and works just as good.

Good Product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works good. Would have given 5 stars but have had two instances that the device had to be reset to regain connectivity to the app. Sounds like this is normal for the units to occasionally lose connection. Not a big deal for my application, but it would not depend on the app to be the ONLY way to open your door.

Easy to Install and Siri Opens the Garage Door
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you are looking to add HomeKit support to your existing garage door opener, this might be the simplest way to go. Took about 15 minutes from box to done, so if your garage door has a wired switch, chances are this will work.

Just what I needed - easily installed
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This controller was very straight forward to install and setup. The integration with my iPhone Home app worked well, and sharing the configuration with my wife's iPhone was simple. We love it! NOTE: It does require an empty outlet socket on the ceiling.

Didn’t work

The device works very well
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. No problems with the installation, I have decent WiFi coverage in my garage, and that helps. The kit comes with all of the wiring you need, fairly decent instructions, and now o can open my garage door up for deliveries remotely.

YouTube Necessary
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The instructions were slightly confusing on this, but I watched a YouTube video and it made it a lot easier. Works great with my current garage door opener which is already smart, but doesn't integrate with HomeKit. Makes my life much easier.

Onwership after 8months. Periodic "no reponse" :(
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So I've had this for a couple of months now and I'm a bit disappointed. Initial set up wasn't too difficult. Had to manually input the code. This is for Apple Home using iPad and Apple TV as my main. Had to set up on 2.4GHz channel. In the first few months it worked great. Then about 3 months ago, I started to get intermittent "No Response" status on my Apple Home app and I was locked out of my home until someone else with the controller could let me in. I've been locked out of my home about 5-6 times since then. I found out that if I reset my router it would work again, but only for 2-3 weeks. Now, I bought this so I didn't have to carry my garage door controller around, but this has become so unreliable and dangerous. Luckily, I can access my router and reboot if I get locked out, but I shouldn't have to do that. I want to my money back.
