I went with this because it was so much cheaper than other HomeKit compatible garage door openers and I guess I get what I paired for. Most of the time it doesn't respond when I try to open or close the door or if it does respond, it tells me it is open when it is closed or vice versa.

Very easy to install and the setup is so fast that you can have this item working with the Apple HomeKit very fast. I am a motorcycle rider and the SIRI function to open the garage while rideng is very convenience.

fantastic add to the home kit arsenal. I have a fear of leaving the garage door open, its a fantastic and easy way to open the door if I forgot my keys and check on the status if I have a mini panic attack that I left it open.

I have 2 of these installed in our detached garage. The one closer to the house where our WiFi is works pretty much consistently. The one further away works most of the time, but occasionally doesn’t respond. I believe I need to see if I can get a stronger WiFi signal in the garage.

It worked for 3 - 6 months until the software crashed. It was showing signs it was declining weeks before it crashed. It didn't know if the door was open or closed and just stop responding to my commands. 2 stars for the attempts - 1 star for waisting my time and money.

I’ve been looking for a grarage controller that works with a 2-wire garage opener AND voice commands for years. Setup is easy, You just connect your iPhone to 2.4ghz wifi and then add the device through the smart Home app. No problem.

This is one of the worst HomeKit accessories I own. The set up was extremely difficult - there were constant, unexplained errors with connecting to WiFi, which requires multiple factory resets. Once it’s finally set up and added to the Home app, which was not simple, it works about 20% of the time...at best. If the device connects, it will say either Updating or No Response, or show the door status as the opposite of what it is. A couple times, I’ve come home to my garage door open because this device sent the wrong door status. I’ve played with sensor placement. There is a WiFi AP within 20 feet with no interference, and there is an Apple TV within 5 feet. This device is just plain awful. It’s a shame that Best Buy can get away with selling something like this at all. It does not do what it is built to do, yet it’s still available for sale. It works so rarely that I’m legitimately surprised when it does work - which is not what a product experience should be.

I purchased 2 of these, as we wanted to be able to use Siri voice to open and close our garage doors. We have an alarm system that also controls the garage doors, but it can be inconvenient to get out your phone, open the app, navigate to the garage controller and open while sitting in your driveway. Install was a little tedious, as the first one installed quickly and easily, but the second did not want to load into Home and took multiple attempts. But once they were running, we can use Siri voice control as we are pulling up to the house - and our alarm system sill works with them too! We've only had a couple times in about a week of use where it took longer to open than we like, but so far, it works every time! Highly recommended for anyone that is already using HomeKit for Smarthome automation!

This unit was easy to install & operates Great. I ride my motorcycle & when I get close I raise my Apple Watch and tell Siri “open My Garage Door” I Love it. I Can see if it is open or closed from anywhere. Would Buy Again!

I've thought about getting an entire smart garage door opener unit but this attaches easily to an existing one and works great! Easy to set up. Only works with Apple though so buyer beware if you aren't into using Apple Home.

‘How great, save money’, I thought. Now, I’m not so sure. The instructions were okay, but when I had trouble, the FAQ on the instructions was not robust. The small print inside the box says you must have strong wifi signal in your garage. THEY MEAN IT! I have 83% signal in my garage and it’s STILL insufficient. I spent a couple of hours between module/sensor installation and pairing. After all that, it STILL won’t open w/my cell as hoped for. Still waiting...

Amazing product. Easy to install, clean set up. No t many messy writing. Works perfectly with Home kit. I don't leave ratings for products, but this was so impressive that I went back to buy a second for the other garage door

Works pretty great... sometimes it doesn’t work though. And that can be annoying.

My 12 year old garage opener is now smart. Was going to replace it but found out about this. The price and ease of set up is worth more than what I costs. Highly recommended if your an apple HomeKit user.

I had some initial trouble setting it up and getting it to stay connected. Figured out the LED bulbs I had in my garage door opener was causing sporadic signal problems. After replacing those with shielded LEDs meant for garage door openers I haven’t had any problems. Having a HomePod and Apple TVs for Home hubs, I’m able to check status and open/close the garage when away from home. I get notifications when the door opens and when it closes (sometimes there’s a minute delay for the close notification but no big deal. If I pull up the Apple home app, it refreshes the status. I have been loving this thing!!

I had a bit of trouble getting this to setup with my internet but after I set it up inside it works flawless. My dad and I both have access and we can open the garage from anywhere at home! This is great when arriving at home and wanting to quickly open the garage using Siri.

I had a problem opening my garage door with the regular remote. Now I open it with Siri from my watch. All the manual switches still work in addition to the Apple HomeKit and we get notifications on the door statuses.

Love it. Install was easy. Works solid with Apple Homekit. I tell Siri I'm home and the door opens. I like having the sight on whether the door is open or not. My new remote isn't working as well as this wifi device.

Very Well thought out product. Installation was a breeze and thanks to HomeKit compliance ... now I can monitor the status and take action on the garage door remotely - all from the iPhone. Well designed and executed.

Discovered this gem at BestBuy after searching high and low for a remote Garage solution. Many of the other versions at the time were just a bit over priced or double the price, and or wanted you to buy a manufacturer proprietary hub to go between your wifi and the device. Wired it up, added the sensor,connected it to Wifi. Added it to HomeKit and now I can talk o my TV and close the Garage door. We have a detached Garage and sometimes we get Lazy. This device keeps us from having to flip a coin to see who is going down the hill to close the door, especially in a rain storm.
