Easy setup. Took me 10 minutes to hook it up to my garage door opener. Simple to set up on the Apple Home app. Needs a strong WiFi connection to work.

Easy to install and connect to my Apple Home Kit. Now I can open and close my garage from anywhere and get notifications when it is opened.

I’m impressed with this garage do opener. At this price point I wasn’t sure what I was going to get but easy to install and work with HomeKit.

Installing it was a bit interesting for me due to the size of the device, I ended up using a short extension cable and sticking it on top of the opener motor, there was a bolt in the way and it was impossible to reorient the device around it. With that out of the way, I installed and configured it via HomeKit, after some quirks with latency I found assigning a static IP, and finally finishing my mesh AP setup seems to alleviated any issues I first had! The alerts and CarPlay functionality are great, and I haven’t had any issues with its operation now!

This product is a must for HomeKit users. Easy to install and works like a charm just as long as you get a good wi-fi signal inside your garage.

First, I have an excellent garage connection where I get over 50 Mb. Full wi-fi signal. I Purchased two units and both of them 90% of the time spend in a “no response” state on home app. When I manually open or close the garage I will sometimes get a notification on my Home app that actually shows the state of the garage (I. E. Open or closed). Within minutes I will re-open the whole map and both sensors will show “no response”. Very disappointed as it is an attractive unit and had a very easy set up but it simply is not fully baked

This garage door opener is ok, and it works decently well… but it suffers from the typical issues all smart-home devices have. When it works - it works great. But a lot of times, it’s slow or stops responding, and at one point, my door was opening and closing automatically since its wiring had come loose.

Works for opening and closing garage door with phone. Can check door status from anywhere. Doesn’t always notify me when it opens or closes but that is more likely a problem with apple home software or my setup.

Works great! Setup was simple and quick and was up in running in less then 10 mins. If BestBuy comes out with more Insignia HomeKit products I would highly recommend!

It is not consistent. At times it doesn’t respond in the Home app. But it works 90% of the time and Performs really well. Totally love it when it works perfectly

Garage door opener works great with homekit. Nice not to have to carry a garage door remote. I can just open it from my phone.

I wanted something that would work with Apple Homekit, and this does the trick. I recently purchased a house with a garage door, and could never remember if I closed the door when I left the house. This was my solution, and if I happen to have left it open, I can close it from Homekit. Connecting it was easy enough, both to the garage door opener and Homekit. I've read the door open/close indicator needs better battery life, but I haven't had it long enough to have an issue yet.

Purchased this garage door opener from my 3rd door was always being left open easy install works great thinking about adding another to the other door.

Insignia™ - Wi-Fi Garage Door Controller I was disappointed with the purchase it was not compatible with my garage door had to return it back to Best Buy. To be fair-the instructions state which garage door it will work with (one piece vs foldable door), read carefully!

Install is so simple and it works like a charm. It beeps inside the garage letting you know the door is about to close so you aren’t taken by surprise.

I have an Eero Pro on all 3 levels of my home and this garage door opener was very faulty. It seems that mines would disconnect from the garage door sensor. It would open and close after resetting everything, but about a day later it would open and then fail to close. The garage opener unit would show that there was an internet connection as well as my Eero Pro app. Upon resetting the garage door sensor everything would work properly again. Not worth the hassle with a price of $40. I’m assuming their quality control is not up to par seeing how some people get units without issues. It’s not my connection... I have full bars at my mailbox and at the edge of my yard in the back of my house. Definitely something wrong with the product that I will be returning.

Install was easy and works great. Would recommend to anyone that uses the iPhone a lot. Garage door opens easily and have not had any issues so far.

Pretty happy with this, but you need a strong signal. Not a replacement for a dedicated garage door remote. Does come in handy when you don’t have your keys.

This Insiginia controller didn't work out of the box with my garage opener. This was no fault to the product as it was clearly stated that my opener was not compatible. However I was able to make this work by attaching the two wires from the product to the garage opener button on the wall. This allows the Insignia product to mimic someone pressing the button. It has worked seamlessly with Homekit and I like the product overall.
