It's been a few weeks now, and the controller works well. I'm using it with Apple Homekit, which is its biggest weakness - when returning, the phone needs to connect to the household wireless network before being able to activate the controller. I'm aware that I could use a hub and hook it all into the cloud, but that's more than is needed at this time.

I installed the sensor exactly as directions suggest, but there are times when it is unresponsive. I'll keep playing with it. Installation time took less than 20 minutes. Great Homekit integration.

They have discontinued the app. All setup has to be done with Homekit. Also I am unsure about future firmware updates as the app is no longer supported.

As the box stated it works with Apple HomeKit, so I bought this to give it a try. Little did I know this device is not compatible with any new garage door. Any garage door with the “learning” feature on it isn’t compatible with this device. It would be NICE TO KNOW BEFORE purchasing. I was not aware of this until reading the instructions after purchasing it and opening the box. How about placing that VERY PERTINENT INFORMATION on the box! I returned this very disappointed

Easy enough to install, and even easier to set up. Number one benefit is being able to know whether my forgetful self remember to close the garage door. There are other things too, like being to say "Hey Siri, close the garage" if I have my hands full with groceries.

Hopefully a revised version is coming.

Frustrating when it doesn’t respond

I don’t know if I just have a lemon, but it will just randomly be completely unresponsive - so it’s in a way worse than not having one at all. It really seems to know when the worst time to not work is. I’ve told Siri to close it 200 times over the last 30 minutes and no response. So now my home is wide open until I get home. When I am not in a rush, it knows to work perfectly and respond every time. I just don’t get it.
