It has some energy consumption information that I personally don’t utilize. My only complaint is that about 30% of the time it loses connection with Wi-Fi. This issue typically fixes itself when I use the app and not using voice commands.

Insignia Wi-Fi Smart Plug with Power Meter is super buggy and its iOS app is every worse. Even basic turn off/on function doesn't work properly quite often, it constantly shows errors (both Insignia app and Apple HomeKit). The setup process is the worst, it takes many many tries. It says that the device is Apple HomeKit compatible but I wasn't able to setup it without Insignia app.

I have searched and updated and tried to figure it out to no avail. People have mentioned a web browser but after searching for quite some time I cannot find it. All that has made me frustrated with these gadgets and ready to go back to the manual timers.

Once you’ve finally managed to get it working, the app will lose the information and ask you to link the device again. The schedule doesn’t work properly (turns on and off at odd times.) Overall, do not buy.

I only feedback about the plug is that it took me multiple times to get it to connect to my Google home for me to be able to use it. So that would be something that I would look for in new versions coming out to make it easier to find it on the network.

For some reason I’ve had problems getting this on the same Connect account. I had to move this to the Apple Home app because of it. I’d keep all of the plugs the same if you are buying multiple plugs for your house to be controlled on the same app. App could use better setup directions.
