I would not recommend this product. I had to return it to the store for a full refund

Not sure what's the hassle. Use Apple HomeKit!

I have not seen any of these issues. As long as you have good 2.4Ghz coverage in your home, you shouldn't have any issues with connections. As for the application, I bypassed that and use Apple HomeKit exclusively and it works just as described.
