Customers often highlight the long cord length and the functionality as positive aspects of the Wired Controller for NES Classic Edition, finding it to be a good, affordable option that works well for multiplayer gaming and provides a familiar feel. However, some customers express concerns about the controller's perceived lower quality compared to the original and report experiencing occasional lag or response time issues. The overall experience appears to be a mixed bag, with strong opinions on both sides.

The remote cord included with the NES classic is too short. I shopped around for other options and came across this remote. Love the extra long cord length and absolutely no lag in the games! Great purchase!

Great NES extra controller/replacement! However, the buttons are quite sharp. Watch out! Length of cord is great too!

This controller works just like the regular controller that comes with the unit. No issues at all. I really like the longer cord.

The long cord is real nice! Main reason I bought it. The controller seems to have a bit delayed response but works over all.

This is a great controller to add to my NES Classic Edition console. Works perfect with the console and has a nice long cable. I purchased 2 so we can play head to head games, and they work great.

The one thing this controller gets right is the cable length. In a day with every system having wireless controllers, a wire sets us back in the days of RF adapters and blowing on cartridges. However, the tiny cable on the original NESC controller sets us back in the stone age. The buttons aren't quite as responsive as the original, but they get the job done. Considering the scarcity of a genuine Nintendo controller, even when in production, this controller is a no-brainer.

Pros: Feels like the real remote for the nes classic. It has a super long cord, almost bordering on too long.
Cons: I noticed a lag with certain games. It wouldn't make jumps and would run into harm on the games. I switched from this remote to the OEM remote (which is crazy short) and didn't have a moment's problem. Lag is an issue with certain games. Buyer beware!

I debated buying a Nintendo-branded controller and an Insignia extension cord, but decided against it given: (1) Nintendo-branded controllers were out of stock and (2) the two items together would have been pricey for what they were. The Insignia controller is a little uglier than the Nintendo ones, and the buttons have a mushy feel to them - but for the price, they can't be beat. Plus, it has a 10' cord...so that sort of sealed the deal.

A must need since the NES classic only comes with one controller, the cable is also longer than the original, not by a lot but there’s a difference.

This is a good alternative if you can’t find a Nintendo branded wired controller. It works well but the buttons aren’t a great as the official but I gets the job done. The cord is also much longer than the official which is a nice bonus. Again I only recommend this if you can’t find an official Nintendo one.

Since the NES Classic comes with only 1 controller you really need to get this. It feels almost identical to the real thing.

This Controller is good because it has a long cord. The original Controller with the console is like 3 feet long. The only problem is the buttons feel loose and has some lag. Not great when playing punch out or trying not to get killed playing Zelda.

This controller works right out of the box. It's plug and play, true to form. As the description says, it has the same button configuration as the standard NES Classic controller that comes with the game system and it works identically to it. It's best feature is the convenient 10-foot cable length, as compared to the standard controller that is only 2 and a half feet in length. I would recommend it far more than any wireless controller options that are out right now.
