He says the sound is good. They are not completely sound dampening, and he can hear me when I call him. However, they do dampen sound enough that he can use them without having to turn the sound up too loud. These are very good quality, especially for the price. They are ideal for a kid.

Reasonable sound

However, the maximum volume is low compared to other speakers attached to the same audio source. There is also a time delay relative to the other speakers which causes an 'echo' effect which is unpleasant when more the headphones and speakers are active at the same time. The headphones are a bit tight on my head and there is little or no adjustment possible.
