The Insta360 X5’s lenses stick out, so having a cap like this is a must. It slips on easily and gives good coverage to protect both sides of the camera when it’s not in use. The fit feels snug without being hard to remove, and it doesn’t stretch out after repeated use. It’s a simple accessory, but it gives me peace of mind when tossing the camera in a bag or pocket. The material seems durable enough to last, though I do wish it came standard with the X5 instead of being a separate purchase. Overall, if you own the X5, this cap is an inexpensive but essential add-on to keep your lenses safe. Bonus: It fits the X4 as well

I usually have this cap on as I have the camera on a selfie stick or neck harness I don't usually ever use the case it comes with, just put the cap on all the time you are not filming, really helps protect your lenses.

Use it religiously whenever you are not filming.
