I was looking for an underwater camera for an upcoming trip, and this one goes well beyond that. With its dual 360-degree lenses, it captures photos and videos from truly unique perspectives that traditional cameras can’t achieve. There is a definite learning curve, especially since it includes a robust editing app. Some of the app’s features use AI to automatically create 30-second highlight videos complete with titles, music, and multiple angles, which is impressive. I highly recommend purchasing the selfie stick, as extending it makes a big difference in achieving better angles, especially for video. I plan to use this camera underwater, so my next purchase will be a wrist or body strap to prevent losing it. The camera’s menu is relatively easy to navigate, but I still found YouTube tutorials helpful for fully understanding its capabilities. While the camera itself does not allow you to zoom in or out during recording, the 360-degree footage lets you zoom during editing, which adds a lot of flexibility. I’m currently practicing with the camera so I can use it confidently on vacation. The photo and video quality are excellent, the camera feels solid and well made, and it comes with two protective lens covers. I purchased two additional covers as a precaution in case one gets scratched or lost.

I am a long time GoPro owner/user. With all the "bugs" that have been causing me to lose a whole lot of footage in the recent models I have been looking into camera options. The main comment that made me take a long hard look at the Insta 360 cameras was they don't have "bugs" like GoPro. After a whole lot of reading reviews, watching videos, and reading actual owner/user feedback I invested in an Insta 360 X4. I have only used it a handful of times but my initial impression is good. The video editing definitely is different than what I am used to and to be honest is one of the things that kept me from getting an X4 sooner. I've used the editing program a few times and have been able to get through it to make a few videos and it does take extra time but it's not too bad. The X4 is amazing. Being able to pick out any view I want/need is awesome. The video quality looks excellent to me. The camera seems to be fairly straightforward to operate. I have been only a little confused with finding the settings I want to change and getting them set where I want. As I said I have only used it a handful of times so I can't say much of anything about the long term use and or durability. I will say that the battery life is fairly impressive. I got more life than I expected and I am using the X4 in the 8k 30fps mode. Well done Insta 360.

Very beautiful quality. Great for snow sports! Battery lasts very long. Shuts down when used in extreme cold temperatures but definitely worth the purchase!

The X4 raises the bar for 360 action cameras. The 8K footage is incredibly sharp, and it makes a big difference when reframing shots — details stay clear even after heavy cropping. FlowState stabilization is excellent, keeping everything smooth whether mounted on a car, helmet, or handheld. The app integration is one of my favorite parts: reframing, tracking, and exporting clips is quick and intuitive, which saves a lot of time in post. The battery life is better than older Insta360 models, though I’d still recommend extra batteries if you’re shooting all day. It’s slightly bulkier than the previous generation, but that trade-off is worth it for the image quality and new features. Overall, the X4 feels like a must-have tool for creators who want flexibility and cinematic results from a compact setup.

Build quality is good. Camera itself is fairly sturdy and easy to use. Editing can only be done with proprietary software so it can be a little frustrating editing videos the way you want. The included lens covers scratch VERY easily and should be used with care. My only real gripe about this camera is that it's an absolute pain pushing the buttons when you're wearing thick gloves.

Great camera. Sturdy on my motorcycle. Clear images and videos. The editing app is SICK. Picture is a still from a 360 video at 60mph, check out how clear it is! Only thing that sucks is that without the longer stick, the distortion is pretty significant. The picture is with the camera mounted directly onto my handlebar.

Impressive camera! I was skeptical of these after seeing distorted videos, then I thought about using it for an inspection project and was pretty impressed. I was hoping for more detail when you zoom in, but overall it gets the details needed for the task. Battery charges fast, fairly intuitive controls, about the only negative I've found is that it gets hot fast and the lenses seem vulnerable. Video is fairly poor in darker areas.

Amazing quality and easy to use. Battery life is decent for the quality it produces but i recommend getting extra. My favorite function is the 360 recording and the ability to edit in 360 as well. It traces objects and has many more exciting features. Ive bought 2 already!

I wish the editing was easier my biggest problem is finding storage on my iPhone or MacBook Pro to export the videos to once edited. Using the camera is a snap and takes some amazing pictures and videos! The picture quality is superb. It would help to have a background in digital photography or have someone with that background help with the editing. The software makes this camera do stuff no other camera can do. I ride a Segway Ninebot S Plus and I’ve got some really fun videos riding it. The camera is super easy, the editing software requires a little more effort but the end result is pretty amazing.

I bought this as a gift for my daughter, and she loves it. She uses it in her car when she goes on trips. She has it with her all the time. It records beautifully and is so clear. She blogs and does podcasts, and says it is so easy to use. You can edit and do creative things with the videos/pictures. When she and her friends go out, they have fun with it. She also uses it at family functions.

This is a perfect camera for riding motorcycles, the battery lasts a decent amount of time, it films the front & back, it gives me a sense of security. It is a great clear picture too. I need to learn all of it's functionality, but I have had mine for 6 months and I would recommend this to anyone considering it. It is very easy to use.

I cannot recommend this enough. The use case for content creators is obvious. I’m just a dad. I bought this specifically for a vacation to Hawaii. I knew if I forked over the money for a “toy” like this, I would use it. We get stuck often times recording with our phones, and we get great likely 20 second, targeted clips. I recorded everything I could for a week. I was able to use the features built into the camera to create an excellent video that will remain priceless for our family. It’s easy to use, and built so well. It’s not one of those cameras that has endless amounts of useless accessories. Just a handful that are just as solid as the camera and make it better. I could really go on and on about it, use cases etc. if you’re thinking about it, just do it. You will not regret it. The quality of video is unreal.

i think the camera is great, i love the quality and the way the videos come out at the end. I love how easily you can edit and get familiar with the insta360 app, it shows you step by step on how to edit the videos. It’s a great camera the only downside for me was the battery, i wish it would last a bit longer, other then that the insta360 X4 is a great camera!

This is the best Insta360 you can buy for the money! Awesome video quality and very easy to work. I use mine on a mount in my car and it’s perfect!
