Makes cooking so much faster. Like a crock pot, but the pressure cooker cuts the cooking time down greatly! Nice for those quick meals, but tastes like it's been cooking for hours.

I was reluctant to get this, but friends who have one swear by it. I’ve used it at least once a week since buying it and love it. I started with a pot roast. I’ve usually used a crock pot, because I like mine tender and moist. I’d set it in the morning and it would cook all day. I made one in this in a fraction of the time and it was perfect. I then roasted a chicken, which I overcooked. Then I made a chicken enchilada recipe that was designed for the crockpot, but easily adapted. That was such a success that I made pulled chicken, from frozen chicken breasts to pulled chicken. It is easy to clean. A little intimidating the first time, but really easy after one time.

Easy to use and very convenient for making Chili’s, stews, steaming veggies, and many other things. Especially good for things that don’t turn out very good in a microwave.

    Amazing Product If It Works

This is the second Instant Pot pressure cooker that I own. The first one that I purchased was back in 2015 which was the Instant Pot Duo 7-in-1 Electric Pressure Cooker and I decided to get the Duo Evo Plus due to its seemingly high tech display. My initial use of the product gave me high hopes for the product, however when I had tried to use it a second time, that's when it all went down hill. Now when I try to use the Instant Pot Duo Evo Plus in sauté mode I get a C8 error and the Instant Pot becomes useless since it will not heat up (even after countless plugging/unplugging the appliance). In researching the C8 Error online it appears that this is a common error for this specific model of Instant Pot and it related to how the bowl makes connection to the sensors at the bottom of the pot. I will be returning this product but will provide my initial review compared to the improvements to my old Instant Pot Duo. Quality: While the electronic display information is more helpful compared to the older Instant Pot Pressure cookers it seems like it may be the Achille's heel for this model since the more sophisticated electronics will render this appliance useless if you run into the C8 Errror as I did. I will mention that the Duo Evo Plus will make a pressurized seal much more quickly than my old Instant Pot Duo. The lid on the Duo Evo Plus is also built better overall with additional enhancements (better protective spray guard for the release and better release lever). Lastly, the inner pot has handles which makes it easier to remove the bowl from the unit. Value: I got this on sale for Black Friday for $69.99 so I cannot complain about the price that I paid for it since it is normally $119.99. The $69.99 was the all time lowest price for this product so I do not expect to see this again in the near future. Ease of Use: The product is easy enough to use and the adjustable nob makes the settings easy to navigate. Overall, if you do not receive a defective unit then I would say the Instant Pot Duo Evo Plus is a great option. The electronic display is very informative since it provides details on the different stages of cooking. I would suggest if you do purchase it to test the Sautee function well before your return window expires and even get a Best Buy protection plan to give you an ease of mind incase this product decides to fail after the return window, which does not seem that far fetched after my experience. Historically, Instant Pot is a reputable product, but it appears that this model definitely has some quality control issues the company needs to work out. I will return this product with a new unit and hope for one without any issues.

I had the basic edition, but after burning the lid by setting it on a recently used, still hot burner, I decided to upgrade to this when it was on sale on Black Friday. It's wonderful! I love the new steam spout and the easier switch for going between venting and non-venting. The display is wonderful, and there are more options I haven't used yet. I like seeing the cooking progress tab as well. Definitely worth going for this one if you're considering it! Feels safer than the earlier version (which I got less scared of as time went on!)
