11400 is a fantastic option for gamers. Pcie generation 4 compatible, Would be good to pair up with a 6500XT for starters. This processor can easily handle the big boy graphics cards as well!

Upgrading from my old i5-3450 is like night and day. Pairs well with my RTX 3060. Very fast! The fan and heatsink is your normal barebones Intel one and is on the loud side so potentially look for a better one if it matters for you. Great price on the CPU too.

I have this CPU paired with a 3060ti and it's great. I run Battlefield 5, Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Apex, and GTA 5 with this CPU on the highest settings. There's not that big of a jump between this and the i5 11600k or even the i7 11700 if you're looking at performance. It gets the job done without a hefty price tag. This is the best value Intel CPU right now since the i5 11400F can be found at the same price. I would've purchased an i5 11400F if it were cheaper. Keep in mind that this is an LGA 1200 socket and the next 12th gen Alder Lake CPUs are LGA 1700, so the B560 and X590 motherboards that support this CPU will be obsolete if you're planning on doing an upgrade to the next gen later down the road.

Overall the 11th gen i5 processor is a pretty good deal, especially when it is on sale. It performs well on Windows 11 and have had no issues with bottle-necking. I use this processor for general use and gaming. I have not run into any games that this processor struggles on. The only thing that bugs me is the stock processor. It's pretty loud and kicks up on pretty much any game I play. It takes a while for the fan to go down to normal levels and it can even kick up during normal Windows 11 use. Adding a Cooler Master Hyper 212 is pretty much a necessity for this processor. With this cooler though, the processor is silent under pretty much any load.

This is a great processor use for 4k video and htpc uses, will do basic gaming.

I use this to power a streaming PC for my church. It runs everything fairly seemlessle. For a budget processor this can be used for gaming machines in a pinch

Excellent budget Processor. I had to upgrade my super old computer but didn't want to spent too much since I was about to pair it with my old GPU 1050. It does the job as I want, perfect for games that don't require a crazy graphic card. I decided to go with this CPU because I wanted to pair it with a B560 and in order to use the other M2 slot I have to use an 11th gen.

Greatest performance for the price. The Intel Core series are great and last longer in my opinion compared to other brand processors. If you're going to upgrade every 3-4 years then not such a big deal. If you want a system that will last 7+ years, then I always recommend Intel Core series processors and this i5 is great.

Probably the best value CPU on the market right now. Paired with the right Mobo, no more than 10% off 11600k performance in most cases. Thermals are great, but buy an inexpensive aftermarket CPU cooler. The stock version isn't worth the metal they made it with. Unless you're streaming and gaming, this is the CPU for you.

A perfect, well-priced CPU for the complete PC. I have no problems gaming AAA titles with the 11400, and temps remain low. With the Cypress Cove architecture, it could be the last 14nm (now that Alder Lake is here). Purchased in Summer 2021 for $189, and I don't regret it one bit.

The most bang for the buck Intel cpu these days! So far, it runs fast. It also has integrated gpu for video editing. If you liek to play games and do som casual video editing, this is the cpu for you!

Not a k series but does go into turbo mode. If you leave it in turbo mode with good cooling just like a regular k series shouldn't be an issue to buy better for budget lol. You don't need higher than the factory stock 4.4 gh turbo on here
